Track day today! An easy recovery run after the Philippine Marathon last Sunday. I still can’t believe that it’s all over, weeks of training, months of perseverance and it all worth it despite of having injuries! 😊 I have also set a new PR for this! Now it’s time to have a sustainability run all the way until I achieve my goals and try to recover well from my past and present injuries. πŸ˜„πŸ’ͺ🏻 #BeatYesterday

Out in the open! It’s been a long time since I rode this MTB πŸ•ΊπŸ» I tried to squeeze in a little ride despite of the bad weather experienced here these past few days, at least I had a safe ride and good β€œtraining” today πŸ˜„πŸ˜™πŸš΅πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

Never thought I would finish this Afroman distance despite of being unprepared for this. Though, I did what I could to squeeze all of my remaining time to do a little training for this event and distance. I was hyped and pumped at first but when I was already at 16km, my knees started to jiggle. I experienced a lot of pain, an expected and quite unexpected one. All the while I thought I was going to be okay and have already recovered from my injuries (knees, sacroiliac joints and lower back), I guess I haven’t been so, yet. Maybe I really have to be serious with my strength and core trainings besides doing a lot of cardio workouts. Nevertheless, I will definitely prepare, train harder, lose a couple of kilograms for the next leg, which is the full marathon distance! This was the first of the first Asics Relay held here in the Philippines and I’m so glad to be a part of it! It was a fun-filled experience and adding to the excitement is to be able to run with my friends, which is my Team, Team Tsunami 🌊🌊 Despite the awful temperature and humidity during the run, and painfully not achieving our PR, at least we’ve experience this one of a kind activity and made the bond of our friendship stronger! πŸ’ͺ🏻 Thank you, @asicsrelay for this! My VO2 max just increased by one in just 2 weeks of heavy and strict endurance training! I can safely say that, somehow, I’m back in training and trying to get myself back on track as slowly as possible. I haven’t fully recovered from my foot and knee injuries yet, but I’ve learned my lessons now that you should sometimes listen to your body. Do not overtrain yourself! It may quickly result to injuries so, always train smart as my coach says! Shortcuts are good for nothing if you’re training and in training for long runs, cycling, and swimming. It takes a lot of time to achieve that long term goal! 😊✊🏻πŸ’ͺ🏻 πŸŠπŸ»β€β™‚οΈπŸš΄πŸ»β€β™‚οΈπŸƒπŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

That was one difficult run! Despite of having a foot and knee injuries, pain meds didn’t took effect but I still managed to finish the half marathon. I’m very very glad, blessed and thankful for that! Looking forward for the next Leg πŸ˜„ (I think I really have the #HeartToFinish right?, @runrio_inc ?) Hehe! ❀️πŸ’ͺ🏻

That was one challenging half marathon run, gotta respect the distance! 😩 All the while I thought I’ve already recovered from my knee and foot injuries but, then again, I’m still not fine. Medications were not as effective as they say but, at least, I’ve managed to finish the half marathon without acquiring a new or major injuries. Thank you Lord our God! πŸ™πŸ»πŸ™ŒπŸ»

What you get from a 10km run: Tired feet and feeling happy, all because of endorphins πŸ˜„πŸ€— It’s great to be back on track after a knee and foot injury ♿️ A 10km run is a great start, I might be slow to date but I’ll regain my strength, endurance, and speed back ✊🏻 Just keep on fighting, stay positive and be patient with progress! πŸ’ͺ🏻
