Today we announced $20 million in new climate grants, our first round in China and second round in India. Our goal is to support organizations working to help decrease the carbon-intensity of these countries’ economies, reduce emissions, and build political will and public demand for climate solutions. Today we announced this year’s recipients of International Connections Fund grants: 10 Chicago arts organizations will engage in diverse artistic exchanges in eight countries including Haiti 🇭🇹, Qatar 🇶🇦, Russia 🇷🇺, and South Africa 🇿🇦(see link in profile for full list). Last week we announced the Jack Fuller Legacy Initiative, an initial $2.4 million to help strengthen journalism and media in Chicago. This support goes to organizations focused on good reporting, but also is geared at creating honest public discourse and meaningful civic engagement in diverse communities across the city. 📝🔎🗞🎥📻🎙
