New Zealand frequently ranks as one of the 'Happiest Countries in the World'. It's not hard to see why. It has marine volcanoes, one of the world's most scenic rail journeys, sperm whales, some marvellous wines and caves lit by glow worms. "I met a Maasai tribesman named Boni, who would be my guide and raconteur for my stay. Traditionally Maasai have killed lions as a rite of passage, and in recent times have been responsible for much slaughter as human-wildlife conflict escalates due to rising birth rates and overpopulation in tribal villages. 'When a lion eats a cow from a Maasai herd,' said Boni, as we walked through the bush, 'it’s understandable that the tribe wants revenge, but often it’s taken to the extreme. Livestock carcasses get poisoned and entire prides are wiped out. We need to educate people to realise that the wildlife is our business. If we go around killing them, then no tourists will come any more and that will be the end of the Maasai.” Read Levison Wood's full article about his safari experience in the Ol Lentille Conservancy by clicking on the link in bio. Does any other city do railway stations with the same majesty, romance and elegance as London? We think not. The very names 'St Pancras', 'Waterloo' and 'London Bridge' are as ingrained in the city’s psyche as the Thames or the Tower of London.

While many cities have just a clear 'main' railway station (Berlin's Hauptbahnhof, Paris's Gare du Nord, New York's Grand Central), London has numerous contenders. But which is the finest, and which is the bleakest, of London’s great rail termini?

Here @greg__dickinson rounds up London’s major stations, from worst to best, ranking them on their architectural clout, pubs, location and the overall passenger experience.

"We’re on my favourite drive – a road to nowhere. Following the coast south of Gairloch, past the scenic bays of Shieldaig and Badachro, the tiny settlements peter out and trees yield to an ever bleaker-looking blanket of bog cotton. Ahead lies a dead end: not a promising prospect, you might think. But excitement mounts as we rattle over the last cattle grid, because beyond that dead end lies Red Point, our 'best beach in the world'." Who can blame the Queen for spending most of her weekends in Windsor? Surrounded by the glorious Great Park, with its deer and centuries-old oaks, her Home Counties bolthole – the oldest continuously-inhabited castle in the world – overlooks Berkshire at its best. There is, of course, far more to Berkshire than its royal poster-town: it’s the home of Eton, where 19 British prime ministers spent their formative years; Reading, Britain’s answer to Silicon Valley; Bray, the tiny village that twinkles with Michelin stars. It has the real Downton Abbey, cutting-edge arts venues, and a hotel with 30,000 bottles of wine in its cellars. Check out the link in bio to discover Berkshire's best bits. “Did you have good weather?” It’s the first question people ask when you get back from holiday, followed by the customary appraisal of your tan. Even in today’s UV-conscious times, the implication is clear: two weeks of uninterrupted sunshine make a “proper” holiday; anything else is a disaster. But do we need to look beyond our 'ideal' of sunshine and heat? Click on the link in bio to read the full article. Believe it or not, this is #London. What's more, it's in Zone One (Marylebone)! The idea of London being a city of villages is rooted in truth. Once upon a time the city of London was contained within the old Roman Walls, but following the expansion of London in the 18th and 19th centuries, it rapidly absorbed what were once quaint villages of Middlesex and Surrey. We have compiled a list of the five quaintest villages in London. To read the full article, click the link in bio. We want to hear your thoughts. To watch the ethereal and elusive Northern Lights is to witness one of nature's most splendorous sights: a celestial dance across the Arctic sky that surely features near the top of most - if not all - travellers' bucket lists. Those seeking this remarkable phenomenon have a decent pick of destinations, from the remote expanses of Lapland to the upper reaches of Canada. Stunning hotels abound in these frigid and oft-remote locations, but all nonetheless offer a variety of unforgettable experiences. Here, we've rounded up the best hotels across the Arctic Circle for watching the aurora borealis. This photo was taken at the Kakslauttanen igloo village in Finnish Lapland.
