The number one question I have received the past 6 months is how I managed to transform my body to look more toned and leaner, and the answer is.......πŸ₯πŸ₯πŸ₯
WEIGHTS!!!!!! Starting at @anytimefitnessfrankston and picking up my first ever weights is what has truely made that shift in my body. Although I love a good run, it burns a lot of calories and blasts fat, it doesn't necessarily have the same benefits as weight training

Let me break it down for you for a sec, cardio is great for heart health and endurance, you also do burn fat by doing this! BUT when it comes to weight training, your body burns fat even after you finished your session! This is because of a term called EPOC, Excess Post-Exercise Oxygen Consumption, whereby your metabolism is still firing up even days after the actual work out

Obviously you have to enjoy the type of training you do, so if you don't like weights or if you don't like cardio, you don't have to do them! But I honestly do believe that incorporating weights into my regime is what helped me shed that last bit of fat. I don't mean you have to lift 50kgs+, literally just using free weights or body weight to build up your muscle mass will help a hell of a lot (eBook coming Dec 1st guys 😏😏😏😏😏😏😏) woo

The more muscle mass your body has, the faster your metabolism. So that's why you probably see athletes and even Insta famous fitness people downing 2000+ calories a day, it's because they have a lot of muscle that needs that fuel πŸ‘ŠπŸ» People are also asking what I changed in my diet recently and the answer is, nothing! If anything, I'm actually eating more of the foods I used to treat as "bad" and cut out... I eat pasta weekly, I fuel my body with carbs at every meal and I'm always making sure I have enough protein and fat to balance my meals out. If you eat predominately whole foods, your body will thank you

PS: While I'm here, I wanted to touch base on self confidence for a second! After watching @lilireinhart's body image talk it made me just really want to reiterate to you guys that every single person is beautiful, all shapes and sizes! There is SO much more to you than the shape of your body. Although I post fitness photos, "transformation photos", and myself posing in activewear, I NEVER want you to feel like you have to be a certain size because I wanted to be (if that makes sense). I want to encourage you to be healthy, active and positive because I want you to be happy and to live a long and amazing life ❀️ Please remember that Instagram is a social media platform where people only tend to show the "good parts", a lot of people edit their faces and bodies to look a certain way and most of the top influencers probably suffer with poor body image, even though you may not expect it. Be kind to yourself, and always remember to be kind to others. ✨

I was just at the gym when a song came on that reminded me of an old job I used to have... If you guys have been following me for awhile, you would know how horrible my jobs have always been. From coming home crying most days, the sleepless nights, making myself sick and isolating everyone and everything because I was stuck in a sad little bubble

But you know what I realised today? I can honestly barely even remember that time anymore or how I felt. At the time it felt like my world was over, I was never clinically diagnosed (probably because I was too proud to admit I needed help) but there was honestly a time where I did not think life would ever get any better so I didn't want to be apart of it anymore

This is just a reminder to anyone reading this, that despite what you may be going through right now and despite all the heartache, life WILL get better. Time heals all wounds and one day these ordeals will all become a distant memory. Keep your head up, your heart open and your soul ignited πŸ’«βœ¨πŸŒ»βš‘οΈπŸ’›

I just completed my first ever session of being a fitness instructor & safe to say, I was absolutely shitting myself beforehand πŸ’©πŸ˜… Although I may look outgoing on my Insta & YouTube, it's actually far from the truth in real life! It's easy to talk to my phone and a camera (lol what a weird thing to say, #21stcentury), but when it comes to being in person with someone I get really anxious. So to be training people I had never really met before, nor spoken to, was really daunting! But I'm so glad I'm over the first hurdle and I'm so glad that they loved their first session with me πŸ€— If you guys are from Melbourne, please feel free to shoot me a message! One thing I really want to teach you guys (and I should honestly do more of myself) is to build the foundations of good technique!!! If you're anything like me, you get into the gym and you just want to go hard, fast & smash the workout πŸ’¦ But without the proper technique and form, all of your efforts could be going unnoticed! For instance, when I came to Trav I asked him to fix my form when doing a bicep curl. I thought I was doing it correctly but I was actually utilising a lot more of my shoulders than my biceps, so I was barely actually using that muscle at all, aka, stunting the growth process. Start small, get that form downpat & go from there πŸ€—πŸ‹πŸΌπŸ‘πŸ»

Let's talk M O T I V A T I O N ⭐️
What is stopping you from achieving your goals? Is it a lack of motivation? Lack of time? Lack of knowledge? Trust me guys, I have been there!!! It took me YEARS to finally stay consistent and listen to my body. I would start dieting and running for a few weeks, feel absolutely amazing and then slowly feel tired and drained in my efforts. I would just give up and think "ehh I guess I'll just have to be happy with the body god gave me". Although this is true, and you should be happy and confident in the body you have, exercise and eating healthy amplifies that by thousands! Even if your body composition doesn't change to what you want, I can assure you that exercising gives you an overwhelming feeling of accomplishment and proudness - making you feel a lot more confident in what your body can do ☺

When I release my eBook, I want you guys to promise me that you will stick to it! I know there may be a few people who purchase it because it's affordable, and then just not even bother giving it a go.
