I was walking along the beach yesterday, with my feet in the water and the sun hitting my skin, when it dawned on me - I have truely never felt more at peace since living by the beach. The ocean is my happy place, the sunshine is my medicine and I get to feel like I'm on holiday in my own backyard. This world is pretty rad ya know 🌎 Don't take it for granted πŸ’™

This weeks lunch prep πŸ˜‹ Honey soy chicken with asian slaw and basmati rice πŸ™Š I have a slight (ok, a huge) addiction to white rice at the moment haha. That may sound so silly to most people, but for 5 whole years I cut out white rice.. I told myself that it was "bad" for me and that I could only eat brown rice. Well, I went to a friends a few weeks ago and they offered us white rice, IT WAS AMAZING !! I can't get enough πŸ˜‚ Carbs aren't the devil guys! Carbs are there to fuel you, to energise you (especially at lunch time) and they help get me through my strength sessions πŸ‹πŸΌ

β€’ 1 tbsp white vinegar
β€’ 2 tbsp honey
β€’ 1 tbsp salt reduced soy sauce
β€’ 2 tbsp @niulife coconut aminos (or extra soy sauce)

My favourite machine (cable) in the gym πŸ‹πŸΌ The lat pull down is so vital in my gym routine as it helps strengthen my back muscles and my shoulders - two of my weakest areas. As I'm either standing all day or sitting studying, I do tend to slouch quite a bit, so this exercise is amazing! Not to mention, it works my little baby biceps all whilst working my entire upper body πŸ’ͺ🏻What's your go to when you're in the gym? πŸ€—

Protein pancakes for breakfast, lunch and dinner πŸ™Š I could literally neverrrrrr get sick of pancakes! They're so easy to make, quick, healthy and the perfect macro balance! πŸ™ŒπŸ»

β€’ 1/2 cup of oats
β€’ 1 scoop @happywayau vanilla protein powder
β€’ 1 tsp baking powder
β€’ 1 tsp vanilla extract
β€’ 1 egg
β€’ 1 small banana (or half a large one)
β€’ 1/4 cup almond milk
β€’ 1 tsp coconut oil (to heat the pan)
Top with fruit, greet yogurt, nuts, seeds, dark chocolate or whatever else tickles your fancy πŸ˜‹

My little baby! Ahhh I finally bought my very first car!!!!! πŸ™ŠπŸš—πŸŽ‰
I just want to take this time to thank you guys from the bottom of my heart for encouraging me and supporting me with everything I'm trying to do with this platform. I honestly would not have been able to buy a car without the help of you guys (and if I wasn't the biggest stinge) πŸ˜‚. Just know that I am so very grateful for each and every one of you. Ummm hello cutest bottle in the entire world πŸ‘‹πŸ»πŸ’™ k guys, serious question, is it weird to be obsessed with a drink bottle? Haha the size of this thing is amazing and makes me drink a tonne more water 😏 it's made of stainless steel to keep water uber cold πŸ’¦ anddddd it's a bloody FOAM ROLLER 😳 Literally the most convenient gym accessory! I'm not going to lie, foam rolling and I are not biffles, we are more like enemies. But the benefits of foam rolling way surpass the pain you feel when doing it (RIP) and the more you do it, the less it starts to hurt! So pick yourself up one of these cute little bottles, stay hydrated and get rollin' πŸ€—πŸŽ±

PS: Today has been super exciting because I F I N A L L Y got my fitness instructor certificate (it took 6-8 weeks to get to me haha) so now I can finally start training clients 😁😁😁

Starting my morning off with a lil beach stroll 🌊 There is something so comforting in hearing the waves crash on the shore while you walk tip toed in the sand 🌾

On another note; this past month has been a bit of a shock to the system... I have eaten whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted. I have eaten way too many Christmas treats, drank too much alcohol and pretty much lived on takeaway (see ya later $$$). I haven't been to the gym properly in atleast 3 weeks now and I'm definitely starting to feel the effects. My mood is all over the place, I'm feeling super gluggy and tired all day, and my body feels all squishy πŸ˜‚

I can't wait to meal prep today, get back into the gym and just start 2019 with a fresh mind and body!!!! Have you started your New Years Resolutions yet? πŸ˜‡
