Happy Friday ✨ It’s now week 12 at uni for me, and might I say it’s definitely keeping me on my toes 😅 One more week of content and then into exams 🤓 This will be my last semester with four subjects because next year I will be into 20 weeks of placement before I graduate 👩‍🎓🙌🏼 Exciting times to come 🤗

A weekly meal staple of mine is San Choy Bow 💛 Such a simple yet tasty lunch/dinner that I really never get sick of. In saying this, I like to mix up my protein sources and spices to get a different tasting meal each time 🙌🏼 For me this varies between turkey, chicken, pork, beef, fish or legume based foods (falafels, vegetarian koftas etc.) ✨ I also like to add some brown rice as my source of complex carbs to help fuel my body throughout the day 💪🏼 Healthy eating doesn’t have to be boring, just focus on consuming mostly wholesome foods that are going to nourish your body x

5AM gym session calls for enough time to make poached eggs on GF toast with avocado 🥑 Bring it back to basics, don’t over complicate nutrition, and mostly listen to your body ✨ Have a cracking Monday 💛

Fresh or frozen? What do you buy and which one is better? Despite preconceived beliefs, there is actually no difference in the quality of nutrients between fresh and frozen fruit & veg! Coming from someone who lives alone, frozen fruit and veg are a massive lifesaver in this department 🙌🏼 Frozen produce is super convenient, cost effective and often leaves less wastage! For our farmers and those living remotely, frozen can also be extremely helpful given that the cost of fresh produce is largely inflated in these areas and that they often have poorer access to fresh foods in general. The savings from buying frozen also allows those who are on a budget to consume a diet consisting of more healthy and wholesome foods ✨ All in all, ignore the jargon that slashes frozen and do what is going to benefit you and gets you eating more of these foods 💛

So blessed to call this place home 💫 @thisismagneticisland Wishing everyone a happy hump day! I started mine off with a session @fitstop_windsor, followed by a walk with Alfie and some weetbix with @yoproau for breakfast (and of course a coffee). Now off to uni for a big day of learning and then an early night with some dinner and tv to wind down ✨

Saturday morning brunch done right! Sorry I have been a bit MIA from social media lately. I have unfortunately been rather crook with the old cold... but am starting to feel much better thanks to all the veggies and hearty soups I could get my hands on over the past few days 🤗 My three most important tips for overcoming a cold are to get an abundance of: 1. Sleep, 2. Nutrition and 3. Water!!! Hope everyone avoids this silly cold and has an amazing weekend ❤️

Keep it simple and clean ✨ You don’t need to be a skilled chef to be able to produce the right fuel to nourish and power your body everyday 💪🏼 It is all about consistency and making the right decisions a majority of the time! Keeping in mind that we are all humans and life comes up, so if you have social events or celebrations don’t feel guilty for indulging every now and then! Enjoy every mouthful because happiness is much more important than not having a piece of cake - which I can assure you that I will be having plenty of this weekend 🎂🎈p.s I highly recommend these spiced lentil and kale koftas that I bought from Coles, ahhhmazing 🤤

Let’s call it a week 😅 For some reason, the past few days have really hit me like a tonne of bricks 😣 Everyone has these days every now and then, but it is important to accept this without trying to cover it up and suppress your feelings. Take some time, even if it is 10-15 minutes to do something for yourself today and see how it makes you feel ❤️ p.s. home time in less than 24hours ✨
