The Gong Ceremony... the event I’ve been waiting for since I first started this journey. The gong is a symbol of the sheer tenacity it takes to make it through this program. I can’t even begin to describe the actual blood, sweat, and tears that went into my gong swing today. And yes, I had to hold back so I didn’t break it. 😜 Graduation, here we come!!! #scnmclassof2018#gongceremony#winterwonderland#tminus12hours#doctorkj
Two weeks from today, I will accomplish something I’ve dreamed of since I was a young child. The path to get here has by no means been easy or even remotely close to what I had envisioned.
This path has been full of trials, tribulations, and traumas. I have been broken time and time again. There were periods of doubt and indecision when I didn’t think I was even capable of carrying on... but God always carried me through. As I reflect on the journey, I am thankful for all the experiences, both good and bad, that have led me to here. I am thankful for the gifts I’ve been given which will allow me to share my story with others. Most of all, I am thankful and blessed to be doing what I believe I was put on this Earth to do.
