It's been another amazing trip to what has become my second home

The best kind of recovery
After tackling the @activeescapes beach obstacle course with the crew yesterday, the body is feeling it!! haha

First full day of @activeescapes Morning training, amazing smoothie bowl breakfast, surfing, hanging by the pool, lunch, coffee pit stop, second training, yoga, well deserved dinner, massage, and then an evening walk with the crew in the balmy Bali heat to get a popsicle down the road

Eating my way through Bali @sukaespresso
It's officially been 2years since I became a vegetarian a lot of you ask me why I started eating this way, and my simple answer is I FEEL better. I have more energy, have better skin and hair, and my digestive system loves me now (I also can't bring myself to even think about eating animals anymore )
Please don't take this as me preaching to you, I don't believe it's right to expect we all eat the same way because our bodies are all different, we live different life styles, and thrive off different things (including the way you exercise, re-energise, have fun etc etc)...like I always say, experiment and explore food, tune into your body and notice how it reacts to what you put into it and most importantly, YOU DO YOU! #food#bali

If you ever have trouble getting to sleep or your sleep doesn't feel restful, doing 15-30 minutes of stretching with some dim natural light (like candles!) can help SO MUCH!!

Afternoon soft sand runs with @_adamdunne
I haven't done soft sand running in aaaaages!! (I think I'm going to be super sore tomorrow!! haha)
Getting your feet out of shoes and onto some sand/grass is super beneficial for your foot health strong healthy foot muscles also means less chance of knee, hip and lower back injury! win!

Training in paradise
After all of my trips here to Bali, I have never been to Ubud!! I always seem to be drawn to the beach but now, finally, I'm stepping out of my comfort zone and the next few days are dedicated to exploring the jungle #bali#ubud
Arrived here yesterday all set for my fave two people to get married @zannaconlan@ali_dixon (these two are my @activeescapes family )
We smashed out a sweaty training sesh together this morning ...I forgot how hectic the humidity was here hahahaha BUT secretly I love it

Monday hot yoga done and dusted
I found it SO HARD today!! I was literally melting to the ground and taking a savasana every 10 min
It's funny how each day you can experience such a different feeling and reaction from your body when it comes to yoga (and even training!) One day it all flows, you're killin' it and everything comes together like it should and then the next, you pretty much spend half your time lying on the floor gasping for breath wishing the pain away
That's the beauty of our body. It knows exactly what it needs, when it needs it. When to push, and when to surrender. We just have to listen #giveandtake

So I've decided I'm going to start a YouTube channel What are some questions or topics you want me to cover?? Anything from workouts, specific exercises tutorials, training tips, yoga, gymnastics skills, better sleep tips, motivation, questions about sausage dogs... anything!! These exercises are a great addition to your gym workout because they not only work your superficial abs and obliques (the ones you can feel on the outside) BUT they also work your inner core (around your spine), stabilisers in your hips and legs, and glutes SO GOOD for improving your coordination and balance and protecting you from lower back weakness/pain
Note how a bend my arms to bring the cable close to my chest as I rotate in the last 2 exercises...think of it at a PULL to chest and PUSH to above head

Continued the theme of tough running sessions this week with 20 x 100m sprints today SO. I said I was in pain yesterday but I'll have to say that was nothing compared to today!
Tomorrow I am DEFINITELY sticking to a long stretch session and maybe some bodyweight exercises...no running!! Haha #lighttrainingday
