This is probably the biggest thing that stops us from achieving or even attempting to go for something we really really want.
I’ve gone through NUMEROUS moments in my life where I doubted myself. I think we all do right?!? ‘I’m not good enough’ ‘I’ve never done this before’ ‘Everyone will think I am stupid’....I’ve said it all.
Over time I realised something. Doubt kept me safe. It also kept me fragile, timid, and stagnant. Doubt was the result of my expectations (or what I ‘thought’ people expected of me). Perfection.
When you feel doubt, understand that it just means you are in a moment of growth. You are stepping away from your comfort and you have the opportunity to learn, grow, and achieve.
Most importantly, understand that you are not required to be perfect.
If you believe in yourself, and you are open to everything you can GAIN rather than everything you can lose, you will always successfully move forward (even if things go terribly wrong, you stumble, or you stuff up completely).
The worst that can happen is you try something and it doesn’t work out. You only truly fail when you stop trying.
So, be kind to yourself. Strive to be resilient. Try 2, 3, 4, or 100 times until you get it.
Expect to grow, not to be perfect
