Please make the connection! You have been deceived by an industry that only profits from the suffering and death of other sentient beings.
All animals care about their lives. "Farmed" animals have intelligence, personalities, and social and emotional lives, just like dogs and cats do. If you wouldn't need your dog or cat, why would you eat chicken, fish, pigs, cows, and sheep? They all value their lives and wish not to suffer. Yet, on today's farms billions of animals are abused, exploited, and treated as mere commodities.
Repost @veganinformation Credit to @yep_thatsvegan : That’s It and That’s All! This is not a competition. This is not a race. This is not about who can be the best vegan. Or who can have the prettiest vegan meal pix. For the super newbies if you slip up then just get back on the bandwagon and keep going. It’s not a big deal so don’t beat yourself up and just try to make better choices next time. If I accidentally eat dairy (which happens to best of us) because of someone else’s mistake or my own I just make sure I don’t make that same mistake again or I make sure to ask different questions. I tell people all the time take it one meal at a time and when I doubt...just don’t eat it. When you decided to go vegan you already won because you decided to take back your health and that’s the best prize ever.

Repost @belinda_vegan With growing awareness of the injustices commonly occurring at large-scale, industrial animal farming operations, compassionate citizens are increasingly seeking alternatives. Labels such as "cage free", free range", "humane certified", "grass-fed", "organic", and "local"make it seem like those who are willing to pay a higher price can enjoy eggs, dairy, and meat from small-scale "humane" farms that treat animals with compassion and respect.
BUT IS THE PUBLIC BEING MISLED?
Animal agriculture has a decades-long track record of misleading the public, on everything from the health benefits of consuming their products to the living conditions and mode of death of the animals being used and killed. While positive sounding labels are guaranteed to increase sales of more EXPENSIVE "humane" products, the evidence suggests that the marketing hype has little to do with reality.
What animal agriculture does not want the public to know is that the creation of all animal products unavoidably involves Injustice and cruelty. No matter the label, animals exploited for profit are forced to endure confinement, social deprivation, mutilation, reproductive manipulation, and premature death.
