With my hero Troy Carter -- music manager, media mogul... and math magician? I must admit I didn't see that coming, but I do know this man can do everything he sets his mind to. So great to have you back at @HarvardHBS as a guest speaker, Troy!
That's right -- that's how we hoop at Harvard. Who says smart guys can't jump? Friday night's #crimsonmadness was great fun, and so the photography adventures continue! Special shout-out to @ezrobertb for making it look so easy.
#TBT to this time last year, when I spoke in front of an audience of 10,000 in Amsterdam's Ziggo Dome, after flying in from Boston that same morning, on virtually no sleep. Luckily I didn't have to expend any mental effort on my outfit. #uniformswag
Vogue named one of us one of the top models of the 2000s. (I know what you're all thinking. Yes, I was robbed. ) Seriously, though -- great to hang with you, @karliekloss! Please come back to Boston soon. #twins
When I learned that my friend and former student Claire Friedman was named writer on SNL, I just had to be at 30 Rock this weekend. Ryan Gosling and Jay-Z played absolutely no part in this. Seriously, though -- congratulations @clairefried, on making it to the highest echelons (the Harvard, if you will) of television writing! We're all in awe of and rooting for you!
New case alert! A former Wimbledon champion as a protagonist , a decision whether to bet big on one of the tennis world's brightest stars , for one of the most prestigious sports events in the homeland -- and lots of insights into how tournaments compete for talent along the way. What's not to like? I can't wait to teach this one!
Thank you, @3gerardpique, for joining our classes on the @fcbarcelona case study all the way from Portugal yesterday! 'Guest lecturer at Harvard' is yet another achievement to add to your impressive resume. Now that I have my jersey I'm coming for that center-back position, though -- you better play well tonight. #Harvard#BEMS#morethanaclub#lifeatHBS
#FBF to over two decades (!) ago! I've had some of the best of times on the Caribbean islands that have been devastated by the recent hurricanes, including the beautiful Dominica and St. Martin, which the husband and I got to see up close in a four-month trip back in the late 90s. We've been back several times since. I have been following the news with a heavy heart, and I don't know how one begins to rebuild when pretty much all infrastructure is gone, but I do know I'll do my best to help where I can.
My MBA course on "The Business of Entertainment, Media, and Sports" is well underway, and we're having a blast. Last week Disney Studios' Alan Horn and NBCUniversal's Steve Burke -- two true legends -- stopped by to share their vast industry experience with the class. And a week earlier participants from the "HBS & the NBA: Crossover into Business" program spoke in our classes as if they'd done it for years. Great times! Cases on Beyoncé and Shonda Rhimes are coming up this week. #lifeatHBS#Harvard#BEMS#nbacareercrossover (some s: @djkkess)
