Really missing the @fleursdevilles exhibition last April at @southgatecentre. I learned so much and was inspired to continue floral arranging back in Edmonton. Seeing local florists all in one place was great too. Can't wait for FDV to return May 30-June 3!

SAAD [2/2]. It's not where you go; it's who you go with. It's not what you do; it's who you do it with.
Had an incredible-albeit-sleep-deprived weekend with some of the best old and new good friends. Lots of laughter, exhortation, and servant-heartedness within loving fellowship.
Always good.

Also, the London Fog here is 👌
Butternut crunch eggs Benny, cherry tomatoes with pesto and parmesan, maple pecan bacon roll-ups.
Missing: D&D.

#Throwback to wintry winds and inversely cozy dinners with @ontherashelf upon my return from China. As one of the most talented musical and nail friends I know - and perhaps the only one with such a complementary combination! - #davidawednesdays evolved from wintry sushi meals to......more wintry sushi meals. Seems like all we've done are WSMs.... haha. Not that we mind!
Here's to more bonding over sushi before and after your scholarship trip, Rachelley! 😘

Pictured: chirashi and BBQ squid.

Samuel spring camp 2017. The Holy Spirit has broken down many barriers at this camp where hearts - younger and older - have chosen to be sensitive to God, to hear His voice, and to savour His fellowship within the Samuel community.
As my girls are now in Petros, the fight rages more aggressively than ever for these walls to remain down. My month away from the high school fellowship has reminded me of the duly important work of prayer-without-ceasing for my little sisters in the faith, knowing that while my physical distance from them cannot be helped at this moment, spiritual distance is my failed responsibility. That being said, thank You, Abba, for Your sustaining grace and work in each of these girls' lives. You have been shepherding them perfectly, and I thank You for involving me in joyful participation and growth through Your Son and His example.

#Throwback to a reintegration catchup meal with pastor friends upon returning from a year in China. Haven't had good meat in a while!

Currently missing all my family in different parts of the world. #Throwback to the end of my year in China, encapsulated in three different currencies, two SIM cards, a Polaroid of my advanced English class from home in China, and a heated-bead Bible and cross: souvenirs from supporters back home in Canada. Cross-cultural work is always such that farewells and reunions happen either way - not made easier by time, but each relationship rather strengthened by the prayerful time apart.

The last two years, flights to and from the oversea mission field have been fraught with delays and cancellations. This year, one leg of our journey before arrival was delayed by 5 hours, to the point where the flight attendants gave us meal coupons and let us off the plane around midnight to grab some food from the only food place open, near the boarding gate. These delays are always an opportunity from God to refocus after the months-long chaos of administration and preparation: to pray and to bond with the team, many of whom go from strangers to family in the span of an hour or two.
On the flight home, we used the last of our team money to celebrate with some sandwiches and Starbucks cheesecakes. Eating these snacks while waiting for the flight home was a reminder of God's sovereignty and providence throughout the entire trip, and to soak in the beautiful, edifying fellowship with the team one more time.
