Lynchburg always surprises me with coworkers, connections, and clients that remind me it’s a pretty cool town despite it’s lack of concert venues and shopping centers. This family shoot was such a precious blessing, and these little nuggets were adorable 😍
One thing I’ve been learning is that you can do your side hustle and think, “Sometimes this is hard and not fun. Today I don’t think I did a great job. I need to take some time to rest and reassess.” Social media has a way of pressuring photographers to be as happy, cheerful, and excited about every. single. picture they take. But just because you’re in a creative rut, a little less excited than you used to be, or looking to change things up, that does not mean you aren’t talented or successful. Keep doing the passion you love, and it’s ok if you are not in love with it 100% of the time.
When you start to feel like things should have been better this year, remember the mountains and valleys that got you here. They are not accidents and those moments weren’t in vain. You are not the same. You have grown and you are growing, you are breathing, you are living. You are wrapped in endless, boundless grace. And things will get better. There is more to you than yesterday. Words by @morganharpernichols 💕
