Meet Kristy, Brian's better half ;) ✔How did you first become interest in Apex? My mum was a member of the Geraldton and when I moved to WA from Tassie I was keen to see what it was all about so I started tagging along. It turned out that people and activities I became involved with were the 'thing' I had been searching for. Apex filled a gap that had been missing in my life: feeling both purpose and belonging 😊 ✔Favourite TV show/movie? - Star Trek ✔What has been your best moment in Apex? I don't know if I could choose! After 9 years in the association there are many moments I reflect on with great pride. My induction by then National President Paul Gallagher at the 2009 State Convention set my Apex career off with such excitement and pride. I think organising and running a successful family fun day and raising $2000 for Stacey's MS treatment was extremely rewarding. And also seeing the Bunbury Koombana Club winning awards and thriving with enthusiasm, having gone from Brian struggling to keep the club alive at all is so amazing. ✔Are you a Sweet or savoury fiend: Never thought I'd say it but I'm a reformed sugar addict so savoury is much more my thing now ✔Who do you most admire in the world: Positive people, those who set goals and work towards them, and those who get back up after they fall and keep on trying ✔Were you Born and bred in Bunbury: No I'm a Tassie girl but going on for 9 years here and call it home ✔What do you love most about Apex: the members. The unconditional support and encouragement you feel from being surrounded by generous, positive and giving people.
