Anyone else take a detour into @piedmontpark today while riding the interim hiking trail north of Monroe? Such a phenomenal green space with so many awesome places to get inspired with your photography! We threw a shot of the Eastside Trail and Historic Fourth Ward Skatepark in for good measure. Enjoy the rest of this great winter weather weekend, everyone.

So much for cabin fever. It’s a great day to be out and about in Atlanta, and we hope you’re enjoying at least some of it on an Atlanta BeltLine park or trail. Here are a couple of shots from the Westside Trail, where they are making great progress on Charmaine Minniefield’s wall mural. Last Friday, January 12, fourteen @rei volunteers met on a soggy afternoon to clean up REI’s adopted segment of the Atlanta BeltLine Westside Trail. Three hours later, the group had collected trash (and some treasures) from along the trail from Greenwich St. to I-20, hauled the trash to a dumpster arranged for by our program partner @parkpride , and all recyclables had been sorted and brought to the Center for Hard to Recycle Materials - Charm.
The Atlanta BeltLine Partnership thanks all the dedicated volunteers who joined in the fun, mud, and hard work. Special thanks to REI’s Rachel Beltran and Park Pride’s Ellen Bruenderman for organizing and executing this event!
