Where your eyes fail you, your palette wont. What's in this assorted platter you ask? Fritters! Here's the breakdown: (1) Fried Green Plaintains (2) Fried Sausage (3) Fried Pork Nuggets (4) Fried Coco Yams also known throughout the French Caribbean as #Accra (5) Spicy Pickled Peppers and/or Coleslaw. With that said, #HappyFRITTERFriday
If you're from the #Caribbean or a Culinary Artist, you've probably used cloves in your dishes. And when this ingredient isn't in powder form, its woody texture and pungent flavor can easily ruin your dish, or worse, kill appetites.
To mitigate this problem, you can do what many Haitian women like my MM and our friend @_lynnnn does. You stick the cloves IN peppers that won't be consumed. You can also stick the cloves in other veggies that have similar texture to pepper.
This ensures that the aroma and flavoring of the cloves are infused in the dish without the bitter and cringe worthy chewing and ingestion of the ingredient. YOU'VE BEEN HACKED! @_lynnnn
I like to spread the love and disperse the calories as evenly as possible, so I'll take one or two pieces of my holiday goodies and then I give all that's left away. How do you manage all the holiday goodies that come your way? @ma_cherie.lab
