Now that I’ve had a moment to come up for air and come down from a massive natural high of playing host to easily the largest fundraiser event I’ve ever pulled off.. I gotta say it..Shuck It Forward IV was one the best days of my life. .
I woke up that day with a belly full of fire and an intention to love harder that day than I ever have in my life. I purposely took 5 steps and tried to hug and thank 6 people for being there. Thanks largely to an incredibly rad crew of humans working tirelessly behind the scenes, I was allowed the space to focus on maintaining the energy and reciprocating dem good vibes all day long. The love in the air at Shuck It Forward IV as a whole was THICK AF !! If you were there you know exactly what I’m talking about. One of the many stand out moments throughout the day for me was when I challenged everyone in attendance to turn and shake hands with 3 people around you that you’ve never met. Without hesitation everyone did exactly that. I’m proud of those of you in attendance for taking that moment to instantly add yourselves to the BfA community. .
I’m grateful to those of you who went hard in the paint all day for a great cause. I’m proud of our special guest Dj Owen Marmorek and our headliner act Marshall Forsythe both of whom are on the Autism spectrum for taking on such pivotal rolls at Shuck it and absolutely killing it. I’m proud and grateful to those of you who participated in shucking comp, chowder comp, bike show, live art, barber shop, silent auction, wine cellar.. Those of you who bought a tee or picked up a patch even if you couldn’t really afford it. I’m grateful for the level of support from our sponsors and community partners. I’m grateful to those of you who shared or liked a picture online or bought tickets regardless of if you could make it out or not. I’m gratefulu to everyone that sang my niece Charlotte and her bestie Eilah a Happy 10th Birthday. .
Lastly, humbled and eternally grateful to ALL of you for making one of the most challenging endeavours of my life into one of my greatest accomplishments. . #Gratitude#LookBadDoGood#BikersForAutism .
