When you’re traveling 19 hours for a two day event, you just gotta tack on some holiday time. For my second week in Greece I took a 7 day sailing trip with @medsailors I bunked on a boat with 7 strangers and ate and drank with dozens more from the other 9 boats on the route, all those amazing people fast became friends. It was so nice to not have to plan anything!! We island hopped through the Saronic Gulf where we were able to paddle board, learn to sail, explore each island, take in the jaw-dropping amphitheatre of Epidavros, swam in crystal-clear waters in secluded bays, scuba dived in Agistri...and so much more. Traveling solo does not always mean you’re alone. Most often, you meet marvelous people along the way and make connections that last a lifetime! Travel somewhere completely on your own, and I promise you, it will be the best experience you’ve ever given yourself. @alyssajackshit@maya_dcoq@alannaecurtis #spinozafamily#doublefisters#seeyounextseason#medsailors#solotravel#takemebacktogreece

We know what happiness is because we've experienced sadness, we understand the power of light because we've known darkness - it's the grace of being in a physical body. Knowing this, we have the opportunity to let ourselves be spiritual beings having a physical experience.
In a country where public space belongs to no one, creative street artists have taken their art to the streets of Athens, covering the blank, concrete buildings with their visions. So many amazing political and social messages. “Athens is always inspiring people to create... the financial crisis was a huge inspiration for artists who wanted to show from their own perspective an artistic representation of the current economic situation.” Here are some of my favorites I’ve seen so far.... #athensstreetart
3000 year old BRAIDS
Most of the original Parthenon statues, which are called the Elgin Marbles, can be viewed at London’s British Museum. Great Britain’s ambassador to the Ottoman Empire had acquired authorization from Ottoman rulers to take many of the Parthenon sculptures to England in 1799. In 1816, the marble sculptures were sold to the government of Great Britain and were exhibited at the British Museum where they still remain.
The Greek government views the transaction as invalid, and has actually demanded the return of the ancient sculptures. #bringoursisterback
The origins of Athens date back to 3000BC, making it one of the oldest cities in the world. It has been continuously habited for at least 3,000 years. It is a mind fuck to walk the streets so many have walked before me.
Today is the day! Headed off on this 19 hour journey to Athens I will not be responding to business related messages until after my return on July 9th. Please call or message the salon phone number 720.295.3605 and one of my lovely coworkers will assist you. .
The streets aren't made for everybody.
That's why they made sidewalks.
