Hey yogis, meet Doris! In this video, she will be sharing with all of you the story of how she joined our 300HR training as a modular student.. out of the blue! Although this doesn't happen often, we were happy to have her as a part of our training and be part of her teaching journey, at the time she needed us the most. Doris took our 200HR training a couple of years back and she'll be working towards her 300HR certification in two modules, this summer marking her first one. This story has a lot of twists so be sure to get comfy 😉 If you'd like to connect with Doris, make sure to follow her at @doris.ay

Yoga service is the intentional sharing of your practice, that support healing and build resilience for all regardless of circumstances. Being able to sit in front of your peers and share your yoga is considered a path of service, but oddly enough, some of us feel as though they serve you every time you are with them. It's crazy and amazing. Teach within a context of consciousness relationships rooted in self refection and self-inquiry. Finding gratitude in service and service in gratitude 🙏❤️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #yogaservice#instayoga#yogisawareness#yogainspiration#yogisservice#yogagratitude#teachersfeelingthankful
If yoga has been part of your life for a minute then you know that the most common question we #yogis get is: Do I have to be flexible to do #yoga? Actually, yoga helps you become more flexible. The point of yoga is to gain flexibility and strength. One of the most popular yoga myths is the belief that you need to be flexible before ever setting foot on a mat. The truth is, flexibility isn't a prerequisite. In fact, a regular yoga practice will actually help you become more flexible over time. Set the intention to simply show up, get on your mat, and be there - aware, awake and present. Did you worry about been flexible when you started? Share your story for the ones starting yoga 😊 Our beautiful student in this picture 📸 @ak_yoga_studio Picture taken by @actionhiro #yogateacher#flexibility#healthybody#instayoga
If you’ve ever wanted to experience our 300HR training, take a look at a 3 minute sneak peek of what our morning practices look like 😉 This particular morning we focused on warming up our bodies in preparation for inversion practice (Sirsasana A & Pincha)
#Focus it’s the ability to delegate time towards efficient thought and determined action. You can focus on the good or the bad. If you want to focus on the negative, that’s one way to go at it, but you can also go the other way and focus on creating a better understanding of your patterns, thoughts, and actions, that’s a better way to go about it for yourself, and for others around you. Yoga opens the door to focus on the self, but also help you see the changes it brings out of the mat. Through other training, other schools of thought processes like Buddhism, other forms of meditation and other forms of self-introspection, You can learn that focus happens anywhere and everywhere. Once you learn to find and channel your focus, you’ll be able to know yourself better, it will help your asanas, and you can develop a greater ability to still your mind and focus in daily life.
What is the difference between change and transformation? Transformation is permanent. Transformation is the result of all of the work you put into change. It's irreversible. Becoming a mother transformed my life and me for the better in so many ways. Teaching yoga has too! Mainly because, getting to be a part of someone’s life, whether it’s a small or big part, forces me to bring the mirror to myself so that I’m not projecting my own issues into others but instead, working on myself to be the best version of me for others. Many things in life transform us, we would love to read what are some transformations you had gone through so far this year? Wearing @aloyoga 📸 By @actionhiro
Someone recently asked us "How do you guys find the amazing places for your pictures?"Even though we've had the amazing opportunity to go to incredible places, the key to great pictures is not just the place. It's you! Yes, it does help to have an amazing camera, a beautiful place, and a talented photographer but even with all of that, if you're not giving it your all, it'll flop. You need to believe in yourself, put some cool music, stop making up excuses and be your wonderful self. We assure you it will be reflexed in your pictures. Feel free to share them with us! We would love to see you create side and your amazing pictures. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Wearing @aloyoga with @actionhiro behind the lens #yogaphotography#beyourself#yogaexperiences#yogapersonality #yogaexpressions
