It is a wonderful feeling to know that your passion is making a difference in the lives of others (as well as yourself)! CSN’s “The Not Just Nursing Show” interviewed Arleigh Hatcher, RN on 2/24. Little did she, or anyone else for that matter, know that I was struggling with something...
more on that later. Arleigh’s episode was super inspiring! She owns multiple businesses and is a two-time author! I’m sure you can guess that her tips of how she made it through, will catapult you into making boss moves! Stay tuned for more info on when her episode airs!
Now....to my silent struggle. The day after Arleigh’s interview, I flew to Chicago for my brother-in-law’s funeral. His death was sudden, untimely, and just plain gut-wrenching! He leaves behind my sister and his three young children, all under the age of 10. I didn’t know what to make of it—I had/have so many questions, but my main struggle is immense guilt. How can I post about my life pursuits, when the lives of those I love are now changed forever? Has anyone ever felt this way before? So I have been quiet, in deep thought, and down right depressed. But my fiancé did not allow that to continue. He questioned me: What would you tell someone, who had sooo much to give the world, and experienced a loss like yours? My response brought tears to my own eyes...”I would tell them to not give up. I would tell them to push past the doubt, questions, and guilt. That the world needs them to continue...” so I am going to follow my own advice!

Great morning #Elite CEOs!
Sometimes we struggle as entrepreneurs. We go back and forth between starting “one more” business venture, or just throwing in the towel and accepting that something “just doesn’t work”. Let that moment pass and let it pass quickly! I was drawn to an article on the CNBC app where Will Smith said something very poignant. He said, “...Fail early, fail often, fail forward.” What got me was the “often” part. In order to fail often, you’ve got to “try” often. You’ve got to NOT be overly concerned about the outcome.
And definitely don’t quit! We have all the time we need to figure things out and try different combinations of ideas, I know this first hand. We are a select group of individuals with a vision, a mission, and determination. If you can see it, it is valid. Translate it well, into a formula that can be interpreted by the global marketplace, and you have a business! We have to constantly challenge our mindset. We have to regularly evaluate our strategy. Take command of your POWER. Be encouraged. Take flight!
