I went to the mohegan Sun casino last night in Connecticut. Had dinner at the Michael Jordan steakhouse. The food was pretty good, but artistically speaking and viewing the dinner as a chef I have a few suggestions for them. Number one: The cheesecake was good I would have presented it differently though, with a raspberry sauce drizzle from the back of the plate all the way to the front and each corner so the whole plate was covered then I would have drizzled the Blueberry sauce the opposite direction and would have added four big dollops of whipped cream at each corner and thrown out the mint leaf then topped it off with fresh blueberries only. Now the best part of the meal was the blue cheese sauce and the fuccacia bread. As you can see there was no bread left when i took the picture. My dinner was baked halibut on a bed of swiss chard with lobster Mash potatoes. The mashed potatoes came out on a separate plate in 3 small ramekin bowls And they weren't that great, they should have been placed on my plate and drizzled with the cranberry sauce that was on the fish, plus they got hard too fast. My fish unfortunatly was unevenly cooked, a small section of it was raw and the other sections were dry that caused my stomach to immediately gurgle a little. They should haved coverd the fish in a citrus burre blanc. But even with all that the food was ok, but the service though was superb. No real wait time when you reserve your table ahead of time and the server was freakin fantastic! 😀😀😀 He got a fat tip. On a scale from 1 to 10 I will give my 1st experience at the Michael Jordan steakhouse at the mohegan Sun casino a 5.5 They need to step up their game just a little bit with their food or hire me as their Executive chef lol.
