Not a bad office today.

Not good enough for a traditional sawmill or furniture maker. Perfect for me.

Four big sticks of Ash ready for milling. The first half of the day spent getting them separated, cleaned up and ready to mill. Now the hard part!

Sweet Chestnut plant labels. There’s decadence!

Cutting stickers ready for tomorrow’s Ash milling session. This lot are from recycled site hoardings from @chilternwoodrecycling

And finally.... It all comes together.

Right, on to the chairs.

A few details from the Lime and Sweet Chestnut Table as it comes together.

Top to go with the Sweet Chestnut table base earlier. There is so much tree history in this piece, hopefully the butterfly joints and resin infill highlight rather than obsure it.

First coat of finish is always exciting. Hard was bringing out the character of the Sweet Chestnut table base beautifully. Stay tuned for the top...

It seems to have all been about trees recently but our #industrialstyle #bedframe is still doing well. This one is off to a previous customer upgrading to a Super King from a Double. And he gets a discount for trading in his old one as I can use some of the materials. Good value and sustainable. Try asking for that at your local furniture warehouse.

Millers in the making. Lots of help from these two finishing off the most recent bit of English Oak. Apologies to my neighbours for bringing my work home.
