Workout of the Day
Sunday 180722
Complete as many rounds as possible in 10 minutes of:
7 handstand push-ups
1 rope ascent, 15-ft. rope
Post rounds completed to comments.

Scaling
Modify the movements so that each set can be performed quickly and unbroken, round after round. The sets are intentionally small to avoid failure at either movement. Aim for less than one minute per round.

Intermediate Option
Complete as many rounds as possible in 10 minutes of:
5 handstand push-ups
1 rope ascent, 15-ft. rope

Beginner Option
Complete as many rounds as possible in 10 minutes of:
7 knee push-ups
1 rope climb, lying to standing

🤳🏼@jwfaulk: Sometimes you don’t realize the progress you’re making, until you look back and see where you started. The picture on the left was New Year’s Day 2017. I weighed the most I had ever weighed. I was not taking care of myself at all, and I felt absolutely miserable. I could barely breathe, nothing fit me, my blood pressure was high. I was on a course for metabolic disease at a young age and I didn’t like it. So I texted @jcore23 about coming to check out @fullsteamcrossfit and since then my life has completely changed. The picture on the right was from a couple days ago. Let me say that I am still not even close to where I want to be, but changing my diet and getting in the gym has saved my life. My blood pressure is now normal WITHOUT MEDICATION, I feel awesome, I sleep better, and I’m just happier. But like I said, I’m just getting started. I’m getting stronger and learning new skills in the gym everyday, and my nutrition is something I need to continue working on. Working with @bfit247.mb on learning how to measure and track what I eat has been eye opening and a process, but it is so helpful. Sorry for the long post I just looked back at that picture from 2017 and was so thankful for where this journey has taken me so far. Can’t wait to see where I go from here. #CrossFit

25 squats
Max reps of clean and jerks
Rest 2 minutes between rounds.
Men: 155 lb.
Women: 105 lb.
Post number of clean and jerks completed each round to comments.

Scaling
Each round in this workout is a sprint. Reduce the number of squats to allow 20-30 seconds to perform clean and jerks. The load on the clean and jerk should be as heavy as you can handle without hesitating before each lift. Pick a load that is challenging but still allows you to hang on and perform back-to-back reps quickly.

Intermediate Option
10 1-minute rounds of:
20 squats
Max reps of clean and jerks
Rest 2 minutes between rounds.
Men: 135 lb.
Women: 95 lb.

Beginner Option
10 1-minute rounds of:
10 squats
Max reps of clean and jerks
Rest 2 minutes between rounds.

CrossFit transformed @econks66’s life in more ways than he could have imagined. He was obese, diabetic, anxious and depressed.
