Article today in Al Nahar newspaper on @sursockmuseum Salon d’Automne where I won the emerging artist prize for my work David Adjaye’s Trash last year. The call for submissions ended last night, wishing all the applicants the best of luck, hopefully it’ll be as fruitful for the next group of artists as it was for me. Thanks again to the jury and everyone at Sursock, this prize got the ball rolling and I’m extremely proud of it.
Final week to see my work amongst some of the biggest bosses in painting at Surface Work @victoriamirogallery wharf road. Left to right in the photos Jessica Warboys, Lucy Dodd, Angela de la Cruz, and Adriana Varejao plus many manyyy other queens!
Thank you @beirutartresidency for all the hard work you put into this, I’m really proud to have my piece Plot 3689 featured here. The piece is made out of sand collected from the Eden Rock hotel construction site on the Ramlet el Bayda coastline.
I've got a public speaking engagement and shizz! I'll be giving a @thegreatwomenartists talk this Saturday at 11am, let's talk about some queens!!
Surface Work opened tonight across @victoriamirogallery 's London spaces, you can find my work at wharf road until may 19th. I have to thank every single person in Victoria Miro for their unmatchable professionalism and support. Showing a 27 year old fresh grad from Beirut is a testament to your badassery. I always thought that huge shows like this happened through infinite schmoozing and handshaking but to be here on the merit of my work is the biggest honor, it really makes me believe in the art world knowing that people like you are around. Thank you to everyone who showed up tonight, I’m a lucky girl to have such awesome friends!
