I take pictures. I'm lucky. Shots from the archives + current adventures. Co-founder of Fissile Group. Also post to @times.12 when I feel creative.
You might not know it from looking, but I’ve had a really interesting life! Wanna know more? Repost from @visualrevolutionary using @RepostRegramApp - Photographer and Creative Director Dano Pendygrasse @danopendygrasse joins the show to talk about a successful career as a snowboard photographer in what many would consider the golden age of snowboarding (the 90s and early 2000s), and his eventual transition into more of a creative director's role. We discuss that transition and what it's meant for his photography. During our conversation we not only get to trace Dano's career, but we get the chance to explore some of the history of the Whistler snowboarding scene in the 90s and the explosion of the snowboard business that he was very much a part of. We also talk about facing burn out, reinvigorating a love for photography, and making a new career transition in a later stage of your life.

Remember that time I went Heli-boarding and Terje did a big slasher right behind my head? That was cool.
I’d like to go Heli-boarding again soon.
Here’s one for all the photo geeks out there. The reason I always say “The art is in the artifact” when it comes to film. At the moment that JP launched 1080 gap back in 2001 while filming for True Life, this image was frozen into a physical form. Then it traveled all over the place so that companies and magazines could make copies. There are marks on the slide page made to guide the graphic designer when he morphed the sequence. There are handwritten notes. It’s an archive of a time and it’s impossible to reproduce.
