Why We Run: "I want to raise awareness and money for Didi Hirsch’s Suicide Prevention Center and the important, lifesaving services they offer to people who are contemplating suicide, have attempted it or are grieving a loss. Every person who dies by suicide has a unique story, but they all have one thing in common: they were in terrible pain and had lost all hope. My sister died because she didn’t know how to voice her pain. I walk to give her a voice and to spread the word that hope and help are available." - Join Pamela and others a this year's Alive & Running 5k for Suicide Prevention: Link in Bio. #aliveandrunning#erasingthestigma#mentalhealth#suicideprevention#nationalsuicidepreventionweek#worldsuicidepreventionday#suicidepreventionmonth#bekind21

Why We Run: After her brother died by suicide two years ago, Kasey founded @thescootyfund , a non-profit that promotes, supports and advances the culture surrounding mental health and wellness in ways that enhance the lives and well-being of young people. Kasey says, “The Scooty Fund is honored to participate in Didi Hirsch’s 2019 Alive & Running event as a Gold Medal Sponsor and is proud to support the Didi Hirsch Suicide Prevention Center. Didi Hirsch’s work in suicide prevention, counseling, awareness and individual support is (literally and figuratively) vital. I run in honor of my brother Will “Scooty” Taylor, in gratitude for the support I have received from my friends, family and greater community and in hopes that together, we can effect long term change.” Join Kasey and The Scooty Fund at this year’s Alive & Running 5k for Suicide Prevention.
