Sante Fe Memorial Party!
Sometimes I draw my party drawings days in advance, especially when I know I'll be away from home for an extended period of time. This past week I was away and I wasn't able to make a drawing to celebrate and honor the ten victims of the Sante Fe High School massacre. My heart goes out to the loved ones of the victims and surviving students who must suffer the pain of this awful terror. Be kind to one another and know that your positivity can change the world. Also, please vote for that change.

Royal Wedding Party!
"Kensington Palace confirmed via Twitter on December 15 that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will marry on May 19, 2018. The couple’s decision to wed on a Saturday goes against tradition, as royal weddings usually take place on a weekday. The invitations follow many years of royal tradition and have been made by @barnard_and_westwood. Using American ink on English card, each invite has been printed in gold and black, then burnished to bring out the shine, and gilded around the edge. The three-feathered badge of the Prince of Wales is given pride of place in the centre." -@britishvogue
HIV Vaccine Party!
"May 18 is National HIV Vaccine Awareness Day. This day was created as an annual observance to recognize and to thank all of the thousands of volunteers, community members, health professionals and scientists who work together to find a safe and effective HIV vaccine. The day also promotes continued awareness and education concerning HIV vaccine research." -NationalDayCalendar.com
Same-Sex Marriage Party!
"Same-sex marriage has been legally recognized in the U.S state of Massachusetts since May 17, 2004, as a result of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court (SJC) ruling in Goodridge v. Department of Public Health that it was unconstitutional under the Massachusetts Constitution to allow only opposite-sex couples to marry. Massachusetts became the sixth jurisdiction in the world (after the Netherlands, Belgium, Ontario, British Columbia, and Quebec) to legalize same-sex marriage. It was the first U.S. state to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples." -Wikipedia
Love a Tree Party!
"May 16 of each year honors National Love a Tree Day. On this day, trees are celebrated and recognized for the wonderful gift that they are to us. National Love a Tree Day is in the middle of Garden for Wildlife Month. Most species of trees tend to be long-lived. There are some trees live to be several thousand years old." -NationalDayCalendar.com
Mark’s Birthday Party!
"Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg turns 34 today, capping one of the more difficult years of his career at Facebook, as the company deals with fallout around privacy and fake news concerns. But because he started his company in college, he's already amassed quite a fortune despite his young age. His net worth is around $74 billion (according to Forbes), which means he's amassed an average of $5.97 million per day. That's second only to Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, whose approximate $132 billion fortune averages out to about $6.8 million each day of his life." -@cnbc
Mother’s Day Party!
"The modern Mother's day began in the United States, at the initiative of Ann Reeves Jarvis in the early 20th century. This is not (directly) related to the many traditional celebrations of mothers and motherhood that have existed throughout the world over thousands of years, such as the Greek cult to Cybele, the Roman festival of Hilaria, or the Christian Mothering Sunday celebration (originally a commemoration of Mother Church, not motherhood)." -Wikipedia
Paris Memorial Party!
"A knifeman has killed one person and wounded four in a suspected terror attack in central Paris, French officials say. The attacker was then shot dead by police in the Opéra district. Witnesses say they heard him shout 'Allah Akbar'. So-called Islamic State (IS) later said one of its soldiers carried out the attack on Saturday evening. It took place in an area renowned for its nightlife. People ran for cover into cafes and restaurants. French President Emmanuel Macron tweeted (in French): 'France has once again paid in blood, but will not give an inch to the enemies of freedom'." -@bbcnews

Dalí was a skilled draftsman, best known for the striking and bizarre images in his surrealist work. His painterly skills are often attributed to the influence of Renaissance masters.
