... brb, going on an adventure
exploring South America (now via )
On the summit of Cerro Toco at 5,600m after riding the bike up to 4,800m.. But don't let the attire fool you, it was ridiculously cold (below 0 degrees) up there and going commando in board shorts was a terrible decision. #mountaingoat#atacama#Chile#roadtrip
Home away from home... I met Daniel & Marcela at a gas station in central Chile while I was pretending to know what I was doing with my motorbike and while we didn't speak each other's language (thank God/Google for voice activated translate) they invited me to stay with them in northern Chile, if I made it up that far. A week later I turned up at the front door and they welcomed me with open arms. Over the next few days they fed me (which can be an endeavor in itself), housed me and I got to meet their friends and family. Also, and probably most practically, in being a mechanic and motorbike enthusiast Daniel was patient in teaching me about motorbikes as we took apart, serviced and welded ol' #RhondaMcFly.
The kindness of strangers on the road will never cease to amaze me. #chile
Keep up the good work Chile, you are one magnificently diverse (and seriously long) country #Chile#roadtrip
