Back in 5th grade, we had nominations for different categories like best dressed, best eyes etc. When I found out I had been nominated for most likely to succeed, I was bummed! Why couldn’t I have won best hair or nicest eyes?
Today, I’m so grateful and honored that my peers saw me as something more than my little gap toothed smile, my short brown hair and my brown eyes. They saw the drive I had as a ten year old. :) I’m 24 and now a month away from beginning my year of practicum, at a clinical site giving therapy. I’m a year away from earning my Masters degree. And I’m so proud of the woman I’m becoming, the confidence brewing and the 0 craps I’m beginning to give with the outrageous beauty standards that are set by industries.
I’m comfy being me♀️
Now that my friends, is a glow up #TBT
