Day 2️⃣ of the #roadtopincha we are working core and I thought I do a drill I know that @lottasebzdayoga loves and then I added a bit of #elephanttrunkpose play. However my best core work prop is my woolen socks and two blocks, and I also have a TRX to play with 😊. . .
I remember when I saw someone doing pincha for the first time. It was before I started my real yoga journey and before I realized there was this amazing yoga community on insta. It was on Pinterest and I was so amazed, I had never seen anyone do this before. Of course I immediately tried doing it, and actually succeeded, but wobbly and bent like a banana. And it has taken a long time to get confident in my forearmstand, so I’m looking forward to this #roadtopincha challenge hosted by some of my favorite yogis ❤️ Here’s Day 1️⃣ which is shoulder openers. I just did my own thing, a bit of what I usually do to open up my very strong, but also very tight shoulders 😄 Video sped up like 400% 😆 . .
It’s #forearmfriday and I know I have been posting pretty much this video before, but it’s just really good practice! This little mini flow challenges so many parts of your body, especially if you add a little straddle press in the beginning 😄 You work your core, your balance, your shoulders have to work real hard, and the gaze shift is not easy either. At the same time you open up your chest, work your backbend and then add a bit of fear work to that and then you understand why I like this so much ❤️ 😆
Today was drill day and lately that means doing a bit of core work, working backbends on the yoga wheel, a lot of different press to handstand drills, working that straight line in handstand, lowering from handstand to different poses and then I call in my husband for some kickover practice at the end. At least five kickovers a day 😄 I hope your Wednesday evening was as fun as mine 😄❤️
My mentor and constant inspiration @lottasebzdayoga inspired me to work on my lift from #headstand#sirsasana to #forearmstand#pincha When I practice the ashtanga primary series with Kino it’s part of the practice but I don’t really work on it enough. So it was a great reminder! This time I had a hard time finding balance when going back down to headstand 😆 Soon Lotta will be hosting a pincha challenge which I’m SO MUCH looking forward to! Twelve whole days of forearmstand work. Just what I need! ❤️ And sponsored by the lovely @aloyoga who are the geniuses behind this lovely outfit 🤩
Despite the fact that I’m totally free, I find weekends the hardest to find time for practice. But I prioritize being with my family, feeling grateful for every moment ❤️ Practice is not going anywhere 😊 But I have to share the smoothest lowering from #handstand to #crowpose#bakasana I hade ever done! I wish I could find this control every time 😄
I’m not quite sure exactly what I’m doing here for day 3️⃣ of the #werkthatwheel challenge, but let’s just say I’m working that wheel in crow, a bit of a handstand and some shoulder stretching 😆 But that’s what I love about this challenge, it makes me be creative with my #yogawheel practice 💕 . Hosts(and posting rotation): @getfityogagirl @natashaswinter @coffeeandrainbows @yogi.bree . Sponsors: @WerkShop @YogaBodyFitness . Day 1: rolling/wheel pose ✔️ Day 2: camel pose ✔️ Day 3: crow pose ✔️ Day 4: plow pose Day 5: high lunge Day 6: plank pose Day 7: dolphin/pincha Day 8: puppy pose/cheststand
Day 2️⃣ if the #werkthatwheel challenge is #camelpose or #ustrasana This is not my favorite pose, is it anyone’s?! 😂😂 I feel I’d rather do wheel pose ten times than adding camel into my flows, because I think it’s so intense 😆 And I have never done it with the help of my #yogawheel and didn’t really know how to, but I tried this variation and it was actually quite nice. I often use the wheel for a kapotasana variation so I thought I go for more of a camel this time 😊 This challenge is already helping me finding new ways to work my wheel ⭕️ . Day 1: rolling/wheel pose ✔️ Day 2: camel pose ✔️ Day 3: crow pose Day 4: plow pose Day 5: high lunge Day 6: plank pose Day 7: dolphin/pincha Day 8: puppy pose/cheststand
Some of my favorite if yogis are hosting a yoga wheel challenge and I thought what could be better now when I’ve actually started to work my wheel! So here’s my Day 1️⃣ of the #werkthatwheel challenge! ⭕️⭕️⭕️ . Hosts(and posting rotation): @getfityogagirl @natashaswinter @coffeeandrainbows @yogi.bree . Sponsors: @WerkShop @YogaBodyFitness . A little Sunday flow sped up x3 😊Not much more to say, other than I’m happy that I now can include straddle press pincha in my flows without being all over the place and losing that flowy feeling because of having to try five times before it works. All progress is love ❤️
Today I was actually doing a very restorative practice, focusing on flexibility, but then when I had done some yoga wheel practice I just couldn’t help but dropping back for #onwednesdaywedropback and I’m happy to see my chest so open! Finally some progress there 😊 I had to speed up the video though, since this dropback business is nothing I can do quickly 😆
