Extracted from orange blossoms, Neroli has a citrusy, floral scent. In ancient times, it was highly regarded for its uplifting aroma. But, #didyouknow it can be used for so much more? Some of our favorite Neroli uses are:
1. Neroli has been shown to be effective for the management of pain and inflammation.
2. Inhaling Neroli reduces menopausal symptoms, stress, estrogen in postmenopausal women & improve the endocrine system. #ProTip: For a natural remedy for PMS cramps, mix a few drops of neroli into your bathwater.
3. Inhalation of Neroli can have immediate and continuous positive effects on blood pressure and cortisol level reduction.
4. Research shows that the chemical composition of Neroli has both antimicrobial and antioxidant powers.
5. And our personal favorite— Neroli is known for its ability to regenerate the skin cells and improve the elasticity of skin. It also helps maintain the right oil balance in the skin, making it an excellent choice for all skin types. Due to its ability to revive skin at the cellular level, neroli essential oil can be beneficial for wrinkles, scars and stretch marks. (#ProTip: Add a few drops of neroli essential oil to a cream, lotion or oil to reduce stretch marks and broken capillaries on the skin.) It can also be useful for treating bacterial skin conditions and rashes since it has antimicrobial ability. #ProTip: Put a drop of Neroli on a cotton ball and tuck it inside your pillowcase to help you relax into a great night’s slumber or diffuse neroli essential oil in your home or office to clean the air and breathe in its anti-germ properties.
All of these uses easily make Neroli one of our favorite essential oils outside the Starter Kit. What is your favorite way to use Neroli?

If you love using Young Living products in your home, you’ve probably wondered how you can share their amazing benefits with your animals. Whether you’re a beginner or an expert, here are a few things to keep in mind:
+ Most animals are more sensitive than humans to essential oils. Start by diluting heavily and use in moderation. Avoid using high-phenol oils such as Oregano and Thyme with any animals, especially cats. Use special caution when using essential oils with cats. Cats are also generally averse to citrus essential oils. + Your animal’s size affects the amount of oil you should use. For smaller animals like cats and small dogs, use 3–5 drops. Be sure to dilute 80–90 percent prior to application (for example, for every 1 drop of oil, use 4–5 drops of a diluting agent, such as V-6 Vegetable Oil Complex).
+ Apply oils to yourself or diffuse to introduce animals to essential oils and help them get comfortable. Wear oils around your animals, diffuse in their space, or apply to your hands and let the animal smell them.
+ Once they’re used to essential oils, animals can respond well to topical application. For cats and dogs, paws are a great place to apply oils.
Young Living offers a full line of animal-specific products, including the Animal Scents line. To find out more, visit our site and search: essential oils for animals
