These bbqs are becoming a weekly fix we tried @heckfooduk pork sausages for the first time and really liked them! Love the fact the meat content is so high compared to supermarket ones! also had halloumi marinated in honey, lemon and oregano!
My favourite part for dessert we made homemade profiteroles filled with vanilla cream and a dark chocolate sauce on top! definitely need to make these more often, they were so easy to make! used a recipe that said it made 18 but I ended up getting 30 huge ones so having the leftovers today
For the main course we did pan fried hake served with fondant potatoes, a mixture of vegetables in a white wine sauce and a crispy shard of prosciutto all very simple to make and very tasty
Yesterday it was my mums birthday so between us we tried to make her a ‘fancy’ dinner! for starter we made homemade ravioli stuffed with a mushroom mix and served with a parsley butter sauce! we also added rosemary to the pasta dough but the flavour wasn’t very strong so not sure we’d bother with that part again!
We’ve had a much cooler and cloudier day here so ended up cooking some mince! Added carrots, onion, mushrooms and Worcester sauce served with rice and some cabbage hoping the sun comes back out tomorrow
Sorbets all round whole host of flavours from chocolate to raspberry to mandarin has a lovely day in London today exploring Camden, relaxing in Regents Park and browsing in Covent Garden
Such a struggle trying to pick something to eat for lunch because of the huge choice at Kerb Camden! 🧐 but I think I made a pretty good choice went for the pasta which was in a sauce and then they mixed the whole thing in a cheese wheel and added sautéed mushroom and some chilli oil £8.50 but was so filling and I couldn’t finish it all!!
BBQ TIME marinated chicken thigh and pork steak, bbq corn mini roast potatoes with homegrown rosemary and some charred sweet red pepper and peas! heading to London tomorrow, hopefully going to grab some street food
Always forgetting to post my meals at the moment today for lunch I made @cheftomkerridge pea and ham pasta with Parma ham and anchovies for added flavour! couldn’t make it through much more of this weather without a bbq so having one tonight! Had some chicken thighs and pork steaks marinading all afternoon!
It’s fish fridayyyyyy my all time favourite fish tonight, ray wing/skate! With some chips and grated carrot such a simple fish just pan fried! cheeky little choccy dessert for afters though
Back at home now after my week away in Yorkshire! Dinner made by my Dad and I - Asian style pork tenderloin with sticky rice and some Chinese cabbage! I can’t get over this weather!! Who needs to be on holiday when you’ve got this
Massive treat night tonight Joe and I made steak, fondant potatoes and roasted asparagus 🥩 it was our first ever time making fondant potatoes but we think they came out pretty well! (They tasted amazing ) such a lovely day in the sun today, had a bbq with some of Joe’s friends shame I have to spend 4 hours on a train tomorrow
