Just be yourself and the right people will come into your life and stay.
Life’s hard enough as it is, you don’t need fake love or to feel like you have to please other people and be a different version of yourself depending on the situation. Just embrace who you are, flaws and all and love yourself as you love your best friend.
Gratitude Sunday: Today I’m grateful for so many things. Living in such a beautiful Country, the amazing weather, having fantastic friends, moving forward with Her Future... I’m just happy and in such a great head space.
Life will always have highs and lows but creating positive habits, like gratitude, can truly change how you feel from the inside.
So what are you grateful for today?
It’s crazy to think that 20 years ago mobile phones weren’t really around or at least not to a point where they’re like an additional body part to most people now. What did we do before mobile phones? One thing that I’ve noticed is that we were much more social. I’ve found just in general. People would talk to you at the shops, strike up a conversation at the doctor’s office and anywhere else that you might be standing or sitting and had nothing better to do. Now we look at our phones after feeling bored for 5 seconds.
Which brings me to my question... how often do you have a detox from technology? Surprisingly not a lot of people do but it’s incredibly healthy for your brain and overall mental state. You reconnect with people and often nature if you’re into that. I definitely love taking nothing and going out for a nature adventure. There’s something about not being distracted and just being in your own thoughts. I often find I feel incredibly grateful during these times.
If you haven’t had detox lately, it might be something to try. Even for a day. I’ll almost guarantee you’ll get a different perspective of life in that short time.
There is so much pressure today about the way you look, how you present yourself and the life that you portray to have on social media. The funny thing is that none of that really matters as to how happy you are or how beautiful you truly are. The person that you are on the inside, how you treat people, the actions that you take and the times where you do something that make you nervous… those are the beautiful moments. Be fearless in your life. Be who you want to be. Do what you thought you could only dream of doing. Your fearlessness is your beauty. So embrace who you are, the dreams that you’re pursuing and the person that you want to be.
Let go of all the negative thoughts and feelings that you’ve been holding on to. Let this be the year that you create positive self-talk, believe in yourself and follow your dreams.
