I borrowed this from @powdermagazine :). I’m really excited to see the #lhotseski2018 in the photo annual issue on shelves this next week. Thanks to @dutchsimpson and @nickkalisz for working their butts off in such an alien world of high altitude. We pushed super hard and you guys took it in stride. Amazing 🎥 📸!! Xoxo to my climbing partner @jimwmorrison. Thanks to @xtremeclimbers for organizing and adjusting to all the nuttiness. Sherpa ❤️💪🤯🙏
Since getting home from #lhotseski2018 I’ve been getting asked quite a lot about “what’s next?” I answer differently every time but mostly the question causes me a lot of anxiety because I can’t take it lightly. Rather, I interpret the question on a much deeper level that incorporates every aspect of my life. Sometimes it helps to look back, though, in order to look forward with more clarity. These photos by @acpictures from an expedition to Greenland a few years back reminded me of adventure, exploration, amazing people and a solid #sufferfest. I think how much those important things fulfill me and, while I may not know exactly “what’s next” I know all the ingredients and that’s a good place to start. @johncollinson@thenorthface#eastgreenland@email@example.com#getoutside#sleddogsboatsskissnow
I travel a lot! Sometimes I can’t even remember what time zone I’m in but I always love coming home to the San Juan mountains and beautiful #telluride. Coming home the other day I flew over what I think are some of the most awe-inspiring mountains in the lower 48. They’re in my backyard. I’m embarrassed to say I’ve spent zero time climbing and zero time skiing in this little enclave of heaven. Does anyone recognize the mountains in this photo? #wintermission#neverstopexploring#letitsnow#exploremybackyard@visittelluride ✈️ @jimwmorrison
Last week marked my 14th #tnfathletesummit!! I have to say it was one of the best in @discoverpuertorico with friends from all over the globe. We got our hands dirty planting hundreds of trees and washed off in the warm ocean 🌊 surfing some incredible waves. Flamingo surfing was a big hit.
