2017 has been a landmark year for vocal activism against sexual abuse across a number of different industries, and model and i-D cover star @ediebcampbell has been leading the charge for change in fashion. Inspired by the bravery of the women and men who have made their voice heard this year, Campbell can't wait to see more people rise up, speak out and take no shit in 2018.

It's been a big year for @mothecomedian. From a handful of views on his Snapchat sketches to a sold out UK tour, Mo (alongside Julie and a coupla cans) has amassed millions of views, an Instagram shoutout from one Champagne Papi and taken black British comedy from social platforms to terrestrial TV. We asked him what inspired him this year and his hopes for 2018. Be good, be kind, be 2018.

@_charlesjeffrey wants you to make loverboy, not war in 2018. Be good, be kind, be 2018.

Self-awareness, self-deprecation, self-esteem and a penchant for small sunglasses. Model @uglyworldwide is here to remind you that you are poppin’ as hell and don’t let anyone tell you different. Just be good, be kind, be 2018.

@nadyariot has been one of our people of the year, all year, every year, since her feminist punk rock collective Pussy Riot exploded into the public consciousness in 2012. Here she explains how we can use our imaginations for radical change and why, in 2018, she wants to see Donald Trump naked. Be good, be kind, be 2018. Music: @keinemusikcrue.

In the year she made her LFW debut, 19 year old model @maximmagnus seized 2017 to champion the need for education around the trans community. She made huge strides, but it’s going to be nothing compared to what she achieves in 2018. Be good, be kind, be 2018.

Eden Loweth and Tom Barratt are the decadent minimalists behind your favourite gender-bending fashion label, @artschool_london. Following a highly successful 2017, the pair offer their advice for a brilliant, and queer, new year. Be good, be bad, be 2018. .

From interviewing Corbyn to the BBK O2 Takeover, Jamie Adenuga kicks off a month of messages of love. It's been a helluva year, time for some positive cheer. Be good, be kind, be 2018.

Originally printed in i-D’s Sounding Off Issue, Tommy Genesis invites you to perform your own version, and find truth in the words no matter who you are. Grab a hold of the lyrics and speak your heart into the night; someone is always listening. Link in bio.

Shot on a warm, dusky LA evening, follow Tommy Genesis on a maroon-hued hike and into a neon-lit garage for a spiritual a-capella awakening. Without a beat, the words become hypnotic prayer, and form an eerily powerful mantra in an age of toxic masculinity being splashed all over the nightly news. Link in bio.

“What I can’t wait for – which will mean success for me – is when I do a show after I put an album out and everybody knows the words to every song. When they know the words because they bought my album and they’ve listened to the songs 500 times? That will be mad.” A big congratulations to @jorjasmith_ for her Brits Critics’ Choice for 2018 award! ❤️ [The Sounding Off Issue, no 350, Winter 2017] .
