'The memory I will take home is of a huge number of visitors gathered around art. Young artists and art enthusiasts intensely looking. I liken it to the crowds around the Mona Lisa at the Louvre, all wanting to get a picture of it and claim it as their own.' — @Galerie_Isa artist Idris Khan on how much he loved seeing visitors enjoy #IndiaArtFair 2019! ‘My art is inspired by architecture and my own personal stories. This work recreates the corner of a room, but brings it into the centre. That’s something I relate to: I have often felt like I’m in a corner, but this fair represents an opportunity for me to come into the centre’ — artist Divyesh Undaviya, a former winner of the Inlaks Fine Art Award (FAA), which recognises the most exciting art students and graduates in India today. Hope you got the chance to see works by FAA winners at the Inlaks Foundation booth at #IndiaArtFair? 👀
