Who says clipping photos aren’t action photos ?!? Evan Hau @hauonearth makes this clip look fairly strenuous on a new rig in the Bow Valley. •

It was a green themed day in Rifle one Spring...I did not get the memo. •

I have an ongoing relationship with Sunwapta Falls...I have yet to capture what I believe might be the best conditions for this waterfall. I’d prefer a shot with fresh snowfall and some better light. This image from a few weeks ago will have to do for now, until the next snow comes. Check my Insta story for the full size and screengrab it for a background!

The King, soaking up the very last light of a fall day. This place is buried in snow now, ultimately making the hike here a tad harder...I imagine it looks every bit as dreamy as this. •

Winter feels like it's settling in here in the Rockies...lots of folks starting to talk about ice, but I'm just not ready yet...I still have a few rock days left in me!

On another note, this guy is back in town! I was super stoked when he stopped by the gym the other day and we got to catch up and see how well he's progressed since his injury last summer. •

A few years ago we spent some time wandering the Valley of Fire, outside of Vegas, looking for places to shoot some yoga photos for my wife...we didn't have to search for long.

Thinking about warmer climates today...here's Daniel Woods going for the next micro hold on Esperanza, during the rock rodeo earlier this year. •

This one still needs a little more time in the PS pressure cooker, but I'm starting to like it. •
We drove at a considerable speed to make it to Peyto Lake for the end of the Milky Way and then sunrise. Ended up being the only people there, which is a rarity at a spot like this. •
Two images blended for quality...one for the sky at ISO 6400, 30 seconds. The second for the foreground/mountains at ISO 400, f/4, 2 minutes for less noise. •
Enjoy the little things friends...

Not all the scenes captured last week were big and grand...sometimes you need to look at what you're stepping over...there might be a little something there.

Probably one of my favourite images I've ever taken. I have wanted to witness fresh snow in the Mt. Robson area for years, last week the stars aligned...a snow storm, along with a planned trip to Berg with Matt Purceil from LA. After arriving at the Berg Lake shelter in just under 6 hours, we hightailed it up into Mumm Basin for a higher perspective of Mt. Robson and Berg Lake. •
I may have pushed Matt to his limit with my pace up the hill, but we made it to an opening in the trees just in time to catch the best light. It was worth every step! •
Thanks to @california_matt for joining me for a week of photography in the Rockies...who wants to come along next year?!?
