As a child I was fascinated by the Pyramids of Giza. It was a dream come true to see them in person, bringing the tales told in history books full circle, but I leave with an even deeper fascination of Cairo as a whole. It’s an incredibly vibrant city with a life of its own, and I can’t wait to come back.

Spent the day exploring Cairo with friends old and new. In addition to history this city is filled with a cast of generous and kind characters, and I’m trying not to think about my time here coming to a close. The sunsets aren’t too bad either, as they illuminate a city that seems to go on forever. .

In absolute awe of the scale and expanse of Egyptian history. I’ve shot much less than I expected because I’m spending most of my time picking my jaw up off the floor.

The warm colors of fall deceive as the cold clutch of winter approaches. The older I get the faster the seasons seem to change, but my appreciation for them grows and grows.

It doesn’t get any better than waking with the sun to the sight your own breath. The cooler temperatures here in northern Arizona have been more than welcome, and thanks to @DuluthTradingCompany for making stuff as rugged as the lands I love. Check ‘em out in my bio! #DuluthTradingCo

The golden light of the afternoon sun paints the larches, already bright, into an awesome array of yellow and orange. British Columbia, you have my heart.

Around every corner was a natural showcase as spectacular as the last. The larches were prime, the weather was perfect, and the crew was all-time. It’s these little moments that stick with me most, the ones I’ll treasure forever.

A cold and absolute silence filled the air as the moon crept around the corner of Mount Assiniboine.

Nothing in the world could replace mornings like these.

Silence so deafening you can hear the beat of your own heart.
