I am off all meds, cholesterol and blood pressure. I feel like I am 40 even though I am 60. My mental attitude is 100% better. I am positive all the time. I lost 30-35 pounds and gained a lot of strength. All my bio markers are better. Resting pulse 58. BP 120/70. Body fat 13%. Frankly, it is all a miracle. And I owe it all to CrossFit. (@rachelsimone320 too since she got me started) My big passion now is spreading the word to guys my age. At 60 you don't have to give up and/or decline. You can be better than you ever were! It's a new week and that means it's a new opportunity, You want to be up before 5am so you can really take advantage of a fresh day, a fresh body and a fresh outlook on life.

Between 5am and 8am is when you develop your own self, work on your body, come up with your own unique ideas and work on your personal projects before your "normal" work day kicks off.
~
These are the things that make you valuable to others, your company and the marketplace.
~
For the average person prime time is when they get home and sit on the couch after dinner and watch crime shows and comedies.
~
For the average person their day starts when they eventually make it into work.
~
For the average person they invest zero minutes in themselves, their ideas and goals.
~
I already know You don't want to be average and I know You want to start going from being a goal setter to being a goal achiever and that means between the hours 5am and 8am you want to be accomplishing more than anyone else and getting big things done!

This week can be the best week of your life, if you wake up early and get to work on yourself and your own ideas, projects, goals and dreams.

@squat_university As a physical therapist I have had the unique opportunity to see people later in life that have not treated their body well. The one common factor that connects those who are forced to use a walker or cane just to move around is a lack of functional strength. As they age, many take for granted their current abilities & think strength training is only for young athletes. BIG MISTAKE. Strength training is something that is meant to be done for LIFE. Here’s why 👇🏼

There have been numerous studies and articles written on how muscle loss and weakness is positively correlated with death and a shorter life span. The squat, when performed correctly and with good programming, will improve core strength, increase muscle mass/power/strength, increase your resiliency to injuries and therefore possibly improve your life expectancy.✅
.
When I was in physical therapy school, we learned that walking speed and weakness was directly correlated with how long an elderly person had left to live. Exercise is the best medicine. Think of barbell squats as a necessary nutrient in your life. Moral of the story: Take your squat vitamins daily & your body will thank you!
