I’m just a kid from Pacoima. Came from welfare, a single parent home, low self-esteem and it was just what I needed to get me where I am today. That excuse you are using as to why you can’t do something, is what I am using as fuel to push me to work even harder. Trust me I hear you. Just cause you see the glory, doesn’t mean you know the story. Y’all keep fighting. I will.

As cool as it is to see my face among the rest in this article, this was really a team effort. The folks @tbwachiatny and the incredible reporters @thomsonreutersfoundation really did all the leg work. I was just the cherry on top. The responses from you all have been humbling. I knew the compassion and empathy for others was there, but your comments and those that tweeted or commented that they donated to the cause bring it all together in real life. Thank you to everyone that supported the video. This is your success.

Thank you to the @thomsonreutersfoundation for making this journey with me.

Great time shooting in Miami. Met an amazing family, tried Cuban coffee, and a bunch of amazing creators. Looking forward to seeing it all come together. I also snuck in my Jordan 1s and a pair of #LeBronWatch 15s. #sneakersonTV#wdywt#sneakernews
