Folkloric Festival Lord Jesus of El Gran Poder or "Fiesta Mayor de Los Andes"
The entrada of the "Lord Jesus of the Great Power" is one of the most significant, expressive and important manifestations of La Paz's cultural identity. It's a musical, religious and folkloric event. That reached all sociocultural spaces and conquering all social sectors.
The art expressed in the embroidery of the folkloric costumes, the cultural fraternities, the bands of music, the dances and a whole industry that unfolds for this celebration draws attention. This manifestation is considered of high sociocultural value, whose mixture between the religious and the popular dance is expressed in the devotion to the image of the Holy Trinity.
It was great to have you here in #lapaz@samhorine ! #Repost@samhorine (@get_repost) ・・・ Welcome to La Paz, Bolivia 🇧🇴- one of the worlds highest cities and perhaps one of the worlds coolest. I’d been wanting to come down here and shoot for a few years now and finally when the opportunity presented itself I couldn’t pass it up. Situated about 14000” (4260m) up in the Andes you could say it was a bit of struggle 😵 to shoot here but pretty happy with how the images turned out 😃🏔 - here’s a couple shots from sunset on day 1. Many thanks to all of the sponsors and partners who helped makes this trip a reality - we couldn’t have done it without you ❤️ @bolivianamericanchamber@avianca@lapazciudaddelcielo
Enjoy your #weekend in #LaPaz ! #Repost@therecipehunters (@get_repost) ・・・ Enjoying a cold, sparkling glass of Chufly in the streets of La Paz, Bolivia. Chufly is one of Bolivia’s national drinks. It is made of Singani (distilled white Muscat of Alexandria grapes), ginger ale or sprite, and a slice of lime. Contact @chuflyimports to get your hands on some Singani in the States. 🙏 Thanks to @hbbronzecoffeebar for the delicious drink!
