I’ve seen a ton of photographer “bucket lists” in the new year. @codyandallisonphoto @junebugweddings had a great post in Photobug last year on how this “collectively devalues our industry”. Check it out so we can all thrive and protect our industry. Don’t sell yourself short.

A favorite image from 2017. Love reviewing the year. Blog post coming soon!

One of my favorite wedding days from 2017, Sandie & Greg at Blackberry Farm. Sandie chose a unique dress with embroidery, bridal clogs from Bryr and cast rosemary earrings. They decided to elope and held their ceremony by a stream in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and celebrated with photos and a mini moon at Blackberry Farm. They received beautiful wild flowers from the Inn and an amazing GSMNP Pendleton blanket from Sandie’s sister as a wedding gift. The details were special and well thought out. Their wedding day was peaceful and all about the Bride and Groom- perfection. Love the boat house at Blackberry Farm in Walland, TN. They met on a boating trip so this location was a must!

The sweetest moment during the Best Man’s speech

This is a photograph of clients and now friends PK & Korel from their engagement session on Bainbridge Island, OR. I first met Korel when I photographed Liz & Onyx’s PNW wedding. He was in their wedding party and later asked me to photograph his wedding. I was able to shoot this session, PK & Korel’s weekend long camping wedding in Oregon and now share in their joy as they welcomed a baby boy last year. I’m so excited to have also connected with @withtheseringshandmade through their wedding and honored that @catalystwedco who I admire for their mission featured their day. I take a select amount of full weddings every year so I can get to know my clients as much as possible, plan their dream photography experience, seek out perfect portrait locations, help them build campfires the night before or photograph them making breakfast or tubing in a river with their friends the day after. I am so honored to have clients like these and to be a part of such important celebrations in life. To be someone who documents love is a huge responsibility and a massive honor. Thank you to everyone that believes in me and invites me to the party.
