I remember in high school when a teacher of mine told the classroom that he never got bored. Not a day went by that he was ever bored or lacked interest in something or felt unoccupied. Every day was a new adventure for him. At the time, I didn’t get it. How could this man never get bored?! He was a regular human who watched TV, played with his kids, taught history class, went to church, sat on airplanes. I mean, come on. I never understood it...until a few years back when I moved abroad. All of a sudden, I had a new language to learn and a new job to go to and a new country to familiarize myself with. Then came the countless hours of building a website. Then came The Road Les Traveled. And then a constant love of learning, traveling and creative thinking. I get it now. Every day is a new adventure, and I love wearing that reminder on my wrist with @LucaandDanni ✨Details on the blog, link in bio. #lucaanddanni#embracethejourney#fall2018#travel#adventure
Spending my first weekend at home in my apartment since May. MAY. It’s currently the middle of September... I just went grocery shopping, got my car washed and did lots of yoga in the sun room. Feeling like a Californian today, but I can’t decide if domesticity feels really damn good or if it’s overrated? Jury’s still out.. Are y’all home or traveling this weekend?? Today a friend mentioned how hard it is to keep up with me and what city or country I’m visiting on any given day. Sometimes I wake up and have to think about where exactly I am in the world or what time zone I’m in. I don’t think that’s necessarily a bad thing. Maybe it’s not great either. I’m writing this as I sit next to an overturned half-emptied suitcase on my floor, willing it to empty and clean itself. I’ve been going all summer long, but I wouldn’t want it any other way. Movement makes me happy :) So does creating new projects. I recently launched this thing called LimitLes where I take people all over the world as their guide, and the first purposeful trip will be next month in Bali😱Adventure, yoga, connection, giving back. I’ve manifested this for years and now it’s all happening! I took a complete stranger to Asia with me a few years ago after she won a contest of mine...it was her first trip out of the country...and ever since then I’ve felt compelled to take groups at a time. Launching this whole series was scary as shit. Would anyone sign up? I had no idea but just knew I had to try it. A massive thank you to everyone who applied to the first LimitLes trip - we had an overwhelming response! I can’t wait to be Bali bound with some of y’all soon✈️Stay tuned for 2019 dates - space is limited, but the opportunities are LimitLes✨ Photo: @mollyandcophoto#TheRoadLesTraveled#LimitLes#travel
Think outside🏔No box required. I once read that the outside of a mountain is good for the inside of a (wo)man. I’ll go ahead and second that :) Simply being in the presence of these peaks makes me feel alive. Scandanavia was nothing short of amazing and for this trip, I rocked my favorite adventure gear from @backcountry. Realized I forgot hiking boots two days before leaving and overnighted these babies! We’ve gotten along swimmingly ever since. What’s been your favorite outdoor adventure to-date?? #Norway#Travel#Lofoten#Ad#GOATworthy#outleisure Use code LESLEY15 for 15% off your order and follow my Stories to check out more pieces✨
Sup, weekend? :) Thinking back on my transformative time in Aruba as I get ready for tomorrow’s project:OM in LA with @susangkomen & @mandukayoga🧘🏼♀️I’ll be speaking about my story before practicing some yoga for those who want to join!✨💫 #breastcancerawareness#yoga#la
My favorite piece of Norway💫Been daydreaming of having my own little red fisherman’s cabin by the sea here...exploring the moody Norwegian wilderness by day and curling up next to a cozy fire by nightfall. Norway took the title of World’s Happiest Country last year, and I can see why. Magic is alive and well here on these islands✨ Let me know what you think of the video and if you wanna see more like this in the future!😍 🎥: @drone.pilot 👗: @augustethelabel#theroadlestraveled#henningvær#norway#lofoten#travel
Currently on a plane ride home from my second trip to Honduras. As I’m going through all of these photos in my phone, I think it’s pretty clear where my priorities stood👩👧👦😍We counted in Spanish, we counted in English, we played hide & seek until we couldn’t due to heat exhaustion. We played with cool cameras but preferred the great outdoors and running on soccer fields surrounded by corn stalks much taller than we were. These kids don’t have much, and yet they are the most joyous people I’ve ever been around. Loved being able to see familiar faces from my 1st trip back in February alongside a lush plantain farm and prospering chicken farm that were hardly up and running, if at all, 6 months ago. Hats off to @humanityandhope + team for round the clock work in providing jobs, education, water, food and purpose for these communities♥️Nos vemos pronto mis amores!
I wish all of you great adventures, good company, and lives as lucky as mine.” -John McCain The late Senator goes on to give thanks, describe happiness and communicate the importance of continued service in his most recent book💕 I’m leaving tomorrow for a country down south so I can put into practice all of these same things. Norway...thank you kindly for the epic northerly adventures👣
