Rainy Saturday problems. Our new smart TV came preloaded with Google Play movies and music so figured I’d give it a shot. Immediately I needed set up a new google account because we’ve been on Apple devices for about 16 years. I logged in, paid and the Movie finally loaded and but then said it was currently unavailable and to try later. Tell that to a little one who was finally allowed to watch Jurassic Park after a year of begging. 56 painstaking minutes on the phone with google support and they finally came to the conclusion that the error message I repeatedly read to them was a them problem not a me problem. Popcorn was finished, kids almost asleep by now, and the little guy quietly interrupts and offers to “just watch it on my iPad Daddy I know how to do it”🤫🤭 . I politely told Google to cancel it, delete my Google Account and I’d just rent it on iTunes. I was politely reassured my refund would be issued within a month or so, then asked if I’d like to take a brief survey...why yes yes I would . 5 minutes later and Three clicks on iTunes and an HDMI chord and movie night was back on, in 4k. Well my first Google Play experience was fun. Sorry @google I’m going to stick with our friends @apple it just ....well ....works.
