β˜†Things evolve over time, and that includes my own practice.β˜† .

Fact is, I'm totally unstructured when it comes to my practice. I never have a plan for what to practice on a certain day, but rather prefer to go with the flow. What I've noticed though is that I have like zero interest in chasing the advanced yoga postures today. The primary objective of my yoga practice is rather to help building a healthy body that will last for long. I've also came to realise that as part of this "healthy body concept" - I must build much more strength (unfortunately 😩). I've been weak for as long as I can remember, so building strength doesn't come easy for me! .

I read somewhere that you need to hold a stretching position for at least 2 minutes in order to gain flexibility in a muscular area. That's an interesting statement, because personally I consider dynamic stretches to be so much more efficient then static holds to increase muscular flexibility.Β  Stretching warm muscles really does the trick for me.Β 
I would love to hear your thoughts on this topic, and what approach has been/is most efficient for you?

This week has definitely been too work intensive, with implication my own yoga practice has been suffering (a lot! 😩). My body tension up immediately. I also feel very tired today, so I'm glad I have the rest of this weekend free! πŸ€—βœŒοΈ

I have mentioned my funky shoulder in a previous post, but I haven't mentioned how much better it has become (both in terms of less pain and increased #mobility) since I got help from this amazing naprapath.
The naprapath told me yesterday that he believes my shoulder will in fact go back to normal! πŸ€— I never expected that! However, I need to improve strength in my upper body in order to help stabilising the shoulder. So next week I'm going to the gym to get my training program. From then on it's going to be the gym twice a week. Not my cup of tea to lift weights, but I will do my best not to cheat! It's for a good cause! πŸ˜…

Does it make me feel ashamed? No. Why? Bc I don't find Alo Yoga worse than most other clothing brands.

There are clothing brands I do consider to be unethical though. Any clothing brand using fur for example... πŸ”ͺ🐺🦊😒
...or any clothing brand pressing down the production costs to such an extent, making the working conditions for their employees slavelike... (just google textile factory Burma or Bangladesh if you are not aware) 🌏😒

What I would love to see is celebrity western yoga teachers raising peoples awareness towards these truly unethical clothing brands. That is something I would totally support! β€οΈπŸ™ #eyeswideshut #putthingsinperspective .
