EVENT UPDATE: sorry, the guest list is now CLOSED!
Stay tuned for upcoming events throughout the summer!
This Summer is “ramp”-ing up to be an extra delicious one...
One of my favorite Memorial Day weekend traditions on the farm is to forage for ramps (aka wild leeks).
The garlicky bright green leaves are wonderful in salads, whole ramps can be sautéed, roasted or grilled.
But as they are only around for a short time in spring, I like to preserve them to use all summer by making a chimichurri-style sauce using whole ramps and pickling just the bulbs!
What are your favorite ways to enjoy ramps??
Like every athlete... a good warmup makes for a GREAT performance!
Bogart and I finished the 2018 Wellington season with a great score & first place on our last test, which means we move up a level next season!
We’ll have all summer in Vermont to practice, practice, practice!
Thank you @kristebella @jfcespedesv, @babbe73, @jeanie.corazzini, @kathyblackread, and everyone at @artemisfarms1 for inspiring me to show and making it all possible!
“Have Their Cake And Drink It Too!” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In honor of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding, I created a cocktail that tastes like their Royal Lemon Elderflower Wedding Cake designed by @violetcakeslondon!
Cheers to the happy couple! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Lemon Elderflower Cake Cocktail:
- 2 oz. @chopinvodka
- 1 oz. @pallinilimoncello limoncello liqueur
- 1 oz. @stgermaindrinks Elderflower liquor
- 1 oz. half and half
- 1/8 tsp. pure vanilla extract
Combine ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake until chilled and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with an edible flower.
I mixed up two batches of my “Pretty In Pink” Punch to celebrates Mother’s Day with our Moms! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
One non-alcoholic and one full-spirit but equally delicious with flavors of pink grapefruit, lemon, elderflower, rose and orange blossom.
Cheers to all the Mothers! Hope you had a great day! Xoxo
Señor Bogart got into the Cinco de Mayo/Kentucky Derby spirit yesterday sporting his red sombrero fascinator!
The Kentucky Derby aka “The Most Exciting Two Minutes In Sports" is about to begin... don’t blink!
If you do, no worries, you can relax and sip on my third Mint Julep inspired cocktail, the SOUTHERN SANGRIA
To some Southerners, the julep is almost sacred, but here it’s infused with another point of Southern pride: peaches. Topped off with Champagne, the delicious result is a sparkling cocktail that transcends its inspiration to become a new classic.

#KentuckyDerby Riddle: What would you get if you crossed a Mint Julep with a Manhattan…?
Answer: The LOUISVILLE ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This riff on the Manhattan uses a semi-dry white vermouth, a slightly sweet herbal liqueur, in place of the traditional red vermouth. The dashes of mint bitters reference another legendary Southern classic bourbon-based cocktail, the Mint Julep. Barrel-aged bourbon is the pride of Kentucky, whose residents often claim its invention.
