ロープウェイに乗って、松山城へ。瀬戸内海も見えて最高の眺め。早くも梅のつぼみがほころび始めてた。 Got to Matsuyama Castle built on a mountain via ropeway. I could see a beautiful view with Setonaikai Sea. Plum blossoms here have just started to bloom.
さっそく鯛めし。熱々ごはんにお刺身と薬味を載せて、卵をといたタレをかけていただく宇和島風。これが村上水軍の味か…！ I had taimeshi, or sea bream rice, which is one of local specialties in Matsuyama. Put these pieces of sashimi on rice, and then pour the soy sauce with egg on them. So good!
坊っちゃんカラクリ時計に坊っちゃん列車と、坊っちゃんだらけ。読んだことないのは内緒で… Matsuyama is also well-known for appearing in a famous novel “Botchan” written by Natsume Soseki. So there are many Botchan-inspired things here, such as Botchan Train and Botchan Clock.
