Whilst travelling through the Himalayas on our Journey to Everest we came across something so amazing i wasn’t sure if i was going to share this memory.
About 5 days into our climb through the Himalayan snow capped mountains an array of lungta tibetan prayer flags fluttering in the wind caught my eye tucked deep into a cave secluded high up in a mountain. After hovering a drone from a distance with caution of what/who may be inside we decided to go off track and head towards the cave. Upon climbing to the cave inside sat a beautiful hand made hut from surrounding trees. What was inside of the hut was simply out of this world, old buddhist scriptures and paintings of the Tibetan Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, and Deities hundreds of years old. A whole range of extremely sacred items and carvings dating back through buddhist rituals and history. These caves are mentioned in the buddhist scriptures as meditative spaces where high level buddhist monks lock themselves from the outside world for many years, to attain moksha or nirvana (if you aren’t familiar look it up). An unforgettable experience to say the least.
I have added some screenshots of footage in the next slides. 🤟🏽
