With my favourite person at my favourite place at the perfect time... and a bottle of wine... πŸ˜„

No matter where I am, the #forest is always calling me... like a feeling of belonging, wanting to be part of it... Born out of it, living from it and returning my body back to it when I die... to be forever part of a forest... β€οΈπŸ™πŸΌβ€οΈ

Finally my laptop works again after the new cooling fan arrived at last. There are still so many photos from my recent #Austria stint... The #forest in the mountains is just magical!

#Summer #hiking in #Austria... Can't beat it... Reunion with old friends I haven't seen in years... Love those guys just as much as the #mountains! πŸ˜„πŸ˜Š

And this is where I'm actually from... It's been a very long time... My first #summer in #Austria in almost 10 years... How lucky am I to have 2 countries of such incredible beauty to choose of...

... just a rock right? I thought this place deserves a couple of posts... We spent all day walking around #Uluru and it drew us in... a journey into a past that's still present... The #Anangu #traditional owners have expressed that certain sides of Uluru cannot be photographed. The reason is, that these places must not be viewed in a different location. We made sure not to include any of those sites in our images to respect the local #aboriginal culture.

... and then there was The Rock... just woW! What a place... no words. We spent all day walking around it... and #Uluru took us on a journey, not only through space but through time... into the past... caves inhabited... ceremonies held... a culture emerging from the land, passed on by song... What energy comes from this special place still felt today... My respects to the #Anangu #Aboriginal people now recognised as the Traditional Owners of this place.

This is just about 50km away from Uluru... I had no idea how pretty and strange #spinifex #grass looks from the top... What an amazing place for aerial photography... #redcentre #phantom4pro

In the zone... these endless straight roads really get you in a different mind space... almost like a meditation... and every now and then, almost by surprise a curve pops out of nowhere only to turn into another straight until the horizon... #vastness #sunset

... lifestock in the #outback... an essential part of the Australian identity but devastating for the land... this journey has really opened my eyes for what's going on in the interior and it's not nice.

And here a sobering view on the reality of arid land grazing... The macabre aesthetics of #environmental #degradation... The right side has #cattle, the left side doesn't... The grass tufts which are essential habitat for small marsupials have been completely removed and the bare earth is exposed to sun and erosion... I'm sure not all farmers overstock their paddocks but this one is also not the only example of mismanagement in the industry... πŸ˜”

This was one of my bucket list items... What a spectacular art installation, near #Uluru in the #NT. 14 acres of solar powered color changing light bulbs by #BruceMunro... This guy is nuts! ...but I totally get where he's coming from... πŸ˜‚
