After a week and half of nonstop activity/travel to Washington, D.C., and Nashville, it feels good to be home. But I’m glad I spent some time in two really cool places and grew more comfortable with being independent in the process. Thanks to the Patricks, Bradford, and Steve for a helluva time.

Clarence and his new best friend, Rory. Yes, the name was inspired by Gilmore Girls. But also because lions roar. I know, I’m hilarious.
First 5K is complete - I did it in a better time than I expected and without any low OR high blood sugars!!! Clarence (and Mom & Dad) cheered me on as I crossed the finish line. It was an honor to run in memory of Trooper Clardy and on such a gorgeous day. Glad I could also represent the T1D community with my #TheDropSpotted hat that reminds me to #LiveBeyond! @beyondtype1@beyondtype1daily#RaceWire
Last night, I said my final farewell to Monty. He was my buddy for more than half of my life and he’ll be missed very much.
