Via @philheath Walking into this new week with even greater focus than the last. Everyday we wake up, we are blessed with an incredible opportunity for personal excellence and to create joy for ourselves and possibly others. Recently I have been challenged in areas which I didn’t expect and that’s when I realized I have an greater opportunity for more personal growth. See, Bodybuilding for me has enabled a great life through hard work, discipline, persistence, a positive-stubbornness (yes in my world there is such a thing) but where did that all start from??? I then began to recall every “Y” in the road growing up and the choices I made which were in fact defining moments in which got me to where I am at today. Although I am not perfect, I am happy about that because there lies a huge set of circumstances that I will challenged with. While going through these levels of life, I will learn through my ability to address the objectives with a greater sense of urgency, passion and intelligence oh and don’t forget faith, a new attribute. This will create an even better skill set for the next round of circumstances which I will call “battle-tested-moments” and also provide the confidence to go further in life with more vigor than before. I hope you all have a great week and use that mind, use that heart, use those muscles because we all have them and get some new success!!! It’s never easy, but it sure does feel awesome to achieve a new personal best not just under the squat rack, but in LIFE!!!!!! Love you guys! Train Hard, train smart & have fun! 💪🏽
Via @courtneykiing Give this a save for later if you want to add in some of my favorite peachy exercises in your next glute and leg day! I’m taking a bit of a break from excessively training my legs. Im only going to be lifting 2 times a week for my lower body instead of 3 times a week of intense legs and glutes. I really want to increase my strength and I know that doing ‘more’ is not always better! It’s about proper recovery and making sure you are training smart and efficiently!🤜💪 Whats your ideal way to train?! - 🍑hip abduction. 4x20 (I sit a bit more forward on the seat to feel it in my lateral glute) 🍑side band walks. 4x15 down and back. Make sure your knee is ‘leading the way’ & not collapsing inward. 🍑kick backs. 4x10,10 (20 reps each set) I like to lean forward so I take off pressure in my lower back. I did 10 straight back then did 10 turning my foot and doing more of a side kick. 🍑leg press, drop set.3x10,10,10 (30 total each set) feet higher on the platform & about shoulder width stance. - Music 🎶 by @balance510

There are many steps that’s needed to follow to making it to the final stage. For me I take these very seriously. My down time before offseason prep is one of the most important but very exhausting. That’s the period where I take 10-12 weeks off from everything. Yes folks I do nothing. Your mind is telling you jump right back in, start lifting heavy, back on the grind..... be patience. Famous words from @therealtechnician “if you need to land a plane in September, you don’t need to put your landing gear down in January “. You will loose some weight you might get skinny fat. 😂 but it’s okay. Offseason growing time, back on the grind. Let’s be smart quality muscles. You don’t need to be 300lbs and diet down to 200lbs. Pre contest, peeling away layers of fat and water a little bit at a time. Again be patience, enjoy the process. This is a good time to get some posing practice in. Perfect practice makes permanent. We pose until we feel like passing out every session. GET A POSING COACH. From here it’s the home stretch.....,, to be continued. #thebestisyettocome#art#posing#posingpractice#patience#wejustgettingstarted#instagram#instagood#insta#mrolympia#ifnotmewho#mrolympia2018#fitfam#flexatron#shawnrhoden#flexatronrhoden#infinityandbeyond 📸 @charleslowthian
Via @angelicaht It feels good to be back 👊🏼💥💪🏼 Back to my routine in the gym and back to my roots... this was the first gym I worked as a dance instructor back in 2003. Training there yesterday brought me so many great memories! Fight to grow in life but never forget where you came from, NEVER! 🙌🏼❤️ #backhome#roots _____ Thank you my friend @thaiismarques for bringing me there and for sharing your trainer @fbassis that literally killed us 😅💪🏼 Great workout! _______
É muito bom estar de volta 💪🏼 De volta à minha rotina na academia e também de volta as minhas raizes. Essa foi a primeira academia que dei aula, eu era professora de dança (na época chamava lambaerobica) em 2003. Treinar lá ontem me trouxeram tantas memórias boas!
