#YourShotPhotographer Terra Fondriest snapped this picture in the Arkansas Ozarks while visiting some neighbors who raise pigs. "One of them has become like a pet dog because they had to keep it at the house and care for it special," she explains. "My son couldn't get enough of it. Their dog Chewy, who is coming to check me out here, is very protective of Miss Piggy."

On the beach of Binh Thuan, a coastal central province of Vietnam, fishermen push their boat, called a coracle, out to sea. #YourShotPhotographer Tran Tuan Viet explains, "Fishermen who navigate the coracle must have excellent health and special skills to keep the boat balanced by high waves and precise operation."

I Stopped Saying No | Photograph by Johanna Birch (@johannabirchphotography)
.
“I say ‘No’ too often,” writes #YourShotPhotographer Johanna Birch. “We were all set for a photoshoot at the historic Kenwood House in Hampstead, London. We were ready to start shooting and he asked to take his shoes off — OK. Then socks. Then he wanted to take his shirt off — OK. Sigh. Then he asked if he could put a toe in the mud. We digressed. What you can’t see are all the posh Londoners enjoying a picnic at a 17th Century estate behind him. It was so worth it.”

“Fantastic Johanna. I love it. I agree with Your Shot photographer Perry Svensson who commented, ‘That’s a lovely shot. You can really see how he is oblivious to everything else and is just concentrating on the mud.’ Your son looks like he is having so much fun. I love the trail of mud coming off his feet. I can feel his happiness, his joy, his amusement. Thank you for saying ‘Yes.’” — @natgeoyourshot Producer David Y. Lee (@davidylee)

Top Shot: When Spring Met Summer | Photograph by Maximiliaan Van Es (@__maximiliaan__)
.
“My photo series ‘When Spring Met Summer’ shows the transition between spring and summer, when flowers fully bloom and life is a little more colorful. It shows the evolutionary path of a flower from its beginning stage of a bud to a mature flower,” writes #YourShotPhotographer Maximiliaan Van Es. “The photo series also encompasses a degree of romanticism whereby there is a deep connection between man and nature, where their dependence on each other is fragile but undeniably essential.” This photo was selected for the June 21, 2018 Daily Dozen.

“This Pharaoh Eagle-owl chick was hiding amongst the long yellow grass for a while, so I got down on the ground for an eye-level shot, and waited,” writes #YourShotPhotographer Mohammad Murad. “Then the owl felt safe, or curious enough to raise its head and look at me. Since I was on the ground, everything was washed out perfectly giving this flaming effect!”

Ranier at Tipsoo Lake,” writes #YourShotPhotographer Archana Bhat. “The kids were SO excited to go on an adventure with mom. I packed up their favorite hot chocolate, fruits, snacks, and treats. We watched Mt. Ranier glow bright that morning, and then walked around Naches Loop for a 6AM hike! The kids then saw Mt. Adams and clouds rolling in the distance and were completely enamored with the views. Such a memorable trip to a national treasure.” // Join @Nature_Valley in supporting the national parks by hiking your local trails.
